I'm not the most experienced player, but I've toyed with Forgeguns. To date, I've found them very little use other than for shooting at vehicles/turrets - any shots at moving infantry are pretty much useless without getting the aim spot on.
I hear of the occasional Forge Sniper, but it occurs to me that these weapons don't have a wide range of use in current state - save for shooting tanks from high up.
Can anyone give me some advice on how best to utilise this weapon? Or should I just CalSent/HMG? |

The AFG charges faster and has a splash radius (both better for hitting infantry), but cannot hold a charge. I would try the AFG. The forge gun takes some skill to use on faster moving, small targets like infantry. Just keep practicing. But if you knee deep in infantry then the HMG is probably the better killing tool. This, ever since they nerf the splash dmg the regular forge guns are only good for stationary targets unless you are always spot on, you can also use it for close quarters but good luck if you miss. The AFG are better for sniping due to the splash but it still requires a direct hit to kill someone and there isnt anything as satisfying as watching the rag doll effect. Use a mouse and keyboard is my advice.
Thanks all - I'll try an AFG (completely missed this existed). I'm PS3 based, so mouse and controller is out, but I'll give it a crack!
Shame the Apex suits have a standard FG rather than an AFG. |

Is the AFG on the market for ISK? Might be blind, but can only see the Aur Gurista version. |

Thanks - I think I'm just realising you can only find stuff on the market that you have the skills to use - need FG at 4 before I get access to that! |
