At the begining any weapon do full dmg to vehicles. And this was good. Then CCP decides that people are to good in normal weapon (not AV) and gives only 10% dmg from it... and left vehicle dmg intack vs infranty. IMHO to much in nerf.
There left some 'artefacts' like sniper rifle vs dropships.
BUT WHY PEOPLE NEED MORE NERF HERE?
Bring back full dmg (ok 30% is enough) and all player will be equal smohow (poor infranty vs happy roaming tank). Even team of infranty can bite anoying tank and make them fallback.
Vehicle users shoudn't have easy mode as it is now.
You should really buy a tank and drive it around a map for 5 minutes. Seriously. One tank. The way you write is like a big bullseye saying "Jack Boost has never driven a tank ingame before!"

2k dmg is not the end of tank. You have plenty time to decide to engage or retreat..... in militia vehicle with 5k+ EHP Infantry dont have any chance to make you bleed hard if you know what to do.... in milita vehicles.

Actualy infantry can 'scary' you, and only when some people take commando and play together. Not often happen. Most of my expirence in last year that I'm only ONE INFANTRY AV in match... And you still complaining how easy you die... Because new tankers never be in danger before? Why there are some vehicle users that 'never' happen to destroy and they do a lot of harm? We play same game.
How Dust will be look like when CCP reintorduce proto vehicles and MTAC?
So... you're saying... after you get hit by the first shot (remember another is already incoming, practically guaranteed damage) that 4 seconds is enough to evaluate where the swarms are coming from, where your routes are, who is engaging you, and where a clear line of travel is? Again "Never Driven a Tank" comes to mind.
You sir, look like you are up for the Madrugar Challenge.
Buy 10 tanks. Armor. Drive them onto the field. Discover how quickly your asset is destroyed. I recommend Hardeners. You are not allowed to "take the easy route" and be a "cheap redline camping tank", cause that seems to be your criteria. Do not stop deploying your tank till the end of the match (actually, you may need about 20 if anyone with more than a Militia AV fit is on). Now. Check your assets. How much did that cost you? Are you willing to expend that much money every round? Third round? Tenth? How much active time does it cost you for a few moments in a tank? If not... why?

I will kid you not when I say I destroyed a Gunnlogi with a Scrambler Pistol. Once. Fired only one round into it. It confused the hell out of me. I assumed afterwards that the Health meter did not show appropriate AV damage due to lag, but I got the WP right in my face.
