You need like two clips from a standard Railgun to get through the bullcrap. I hope Rattati limits hardeners to one and damage mods to one.

It's a boring tactic, but you can counter it quite simply by focusing on dodging enough shots to survive until they run out... Then their tank might as well be made of paper.
Hardeners are getting a fitting nerf I hear though... Hopefully it's a big enough one to make them useless, I hate the things. I feel bad even using one (which I do a lot more now, than I used to.) |

If they are bad enough to miss you for thirty seconds then Im surprised they have enough brain cells to breath, much less play dust |

The new vehicle tanks on proto fits have 5 highs slots... I'm thinking something along the lines of 4 complex hardeners 1 complex heavy shield extender? They could have dual hardeners running throughout the whole game.... Good god no |

You want a balanced fit with hardeners, extenders and a booster for those "OMFG WHAT JUST HIT ME?" moments.

That's like saying- strafe in front of a heavy until they have to reload and then go melee him. No that doesn't work. Hardeners last 30+ seconds, in 30 seconds they can shoot over a clip.

It really isn't, I said nothing about standing in their optimal out in the open, or about ramming into them (assuming that's the vehicle equivalent of melee?)
You get the attention of a dual hardener tank - they spam hardeners... This can be done by letting them see you, or just popping a few rounds at them. Your 30 seconds start now.
If it's a Gunnlogi (chances are, it is!) You can use the slopes to stay below their lowest turret facing... If it's a Madruga, just drive behind it.
If it's a blaster tank, you keep a distance, getting close is getting dead.
Missiles or rails, use buildings, make them chase you for it... Use the bumpy ground to make the missiles spew everywhere, half will miss, or they will have to delay firing.
Yes 30 seconds is a pretty long time, but if you aren't dual hardened, you have an extra slot for either more hp, or more damage, or more speed... A turbo will make this much easier, if they have a turbo as well, then you gotta work a little harder, but they're that much easier to kill when you're done.
Vesta Opalus wrote:If they are bad enough to miss you for thirty seconds then Im surprised they have enough brain cells to breath, much less play dust If someone is bad enough to sit still and spray their crap at a dual hardened tank and complain they got their arse handed to them, I'm surprised... Well no I'm not, there's a whole lot of stupid in this game, it's really not as hard as everyone makes out. |

I can hit a moving tank from 300m away with ease, it's not as hard as you make it to be.

Why do shield tanks get to be invincible for 30 seconds when nothing else in the game gets to?
Its cool to outline all the ways to avoid double hardened gunnlogis or try to draw out the hardeners or whatever, but the bottom line is the gunnlogi is overpowered. You get to click a button the second you get in trouble to make its TTK like 20-30 seconds regardless of what you're up against, at which point you pretty much have to be brain dead to die. Additionally, if you arent in ambush you can just withdraw to redline while hardeners are on cooldown once they expire, and you have an effectively invincible unit.

Well there's your problem, right off the bat.
Your tactics need to change if you're using militia to hunt real HAVs, this is like complaining that you get your ass handed to you when using a starter fit to take on a proto assault head-on.
Be sneaky, nail that sucker after he's popped his hardeners at another target, using the Tac-Net is an absolute must when using militia HAVs.

At no point was I defending it, I made it pretty clear I think it's scrubby and that I hope the fitting nerfs make it a useless fit... I'm just pointing out things you can try to do if you honestly thought they couldn't be beaten. Obviously for those having too much trouble moving behind an object, you can always dual harden yourselves.
Sir Dukey wrote:I can hit a moving tank from 300m away with ease, it's not as hard as you make it to be. Can you hit it through an object? If so you should maybe do a few bug reports.
300 meters away, if you go behind a building, the hardened tank will have to chase.
Can you hit it when it's behind your turret, or on top of your turret, or under your tank...
It's also not as hard to beat a dual hardened tank as you make it out to be. |

The problem is that it takes an absurd amount of luck or skill on your part or a huge lack of intelligence/skill on the part of a gunnlogi driver to beat them. I think everyone who isnt a massive chode who's living their entire life up a tanks butt knows its overpowered as is. |

Not on a double Hardener Tank.... their shields are just a ***** to get through, you need more than just rolling up on them to secure the win.
