Many people have said it is not noticeable. Maybe if you are just casually firing a few last shots to kill a target then it is not noticeable.
Though, when you are hipfiring a strafing scout who has a shotgun then it is imperative to have it equipped to land headshots. Especially with the Tactical AR which has terrible dispersion at any range that isn't point blank. It's also the only way to actually get hipfire shots from the Ion Pistol on target.
Anyone that says it's a useless skill has no idea what they are talking about and I am appalled at anyone trying to strip it of its skill.

So yeah, useful. Not as obvious as the Amarr or Minmatar ones, but just as useful in terms of actual advantages it provides. It's definitely noticeable. How does someone not notice 25% less recoil and dispersion?

The plasma rifle has never had recoil problems and hipfire with sharpshooter 5 is already very tight. Still, it is very noticeable.
Maybe I've played too much COD but the perk that reduced hipfire was about the same as the Gallente skill.
I mean when you are back peddling from a scout or heavy don't you ever find that hipfire is imperative?

Yes the Gallente assault rifle is supposed to be the best CQC rifle out of all racial rifles in the game.
Only an idiot would argue what's being supposed. That's like saying "The Rail rifle isn't supposed to be the king of Long Range combat. That's the sniper rifles job!" no ****. Well the way people make it sound is as if they think the AR should be the best weapon to use bar none in the 0-15m range... Except we always say it should be the CQC king of Rifles.

Those are faux numbers to show the concept. In actuality it would be more like:
1.15x from 0-5m
1.10x from 5-10m
1.05x from 10-15m

Just let it be known know Combat Rifle - annoying but balanced from what I can tell. Combat Rifle +Minmatar Assault bonus -Textbook OP status. How does 13 more rounds make a weapon OP?

Most of the time extremely High RoF, High DPS weapons are balanced by their short range but have large mag size.
You can also swap out mag size for range though and it stays fairly balanced in most FPSs.
The Minmatar Assaults bonus throws away the weapons one major flaw turning it from a deathly hit and run weapon into a consistent death beam.
But ill address it further in my thread.
You have to compare it against the Scrambler Rifle, Rail Rifle and AR. Against these weapons it is not OP.
