I can take heavies down with an Adv. ScR and breach SMG combo pretty darn good actually.
Mayhaps you should try not standing directly in front of the MINIGUN while shooting them?

He went 33/3 that match, I wouldn't have pointed it out should it have been anything else. 4 heavies that game, their scores were: 33/3 29/4 18/0 24/1 Only 1 logi in the whole game. I went positive, barely. 9/8. Shotgun scout: Killed before he can reach heavy RE: See above Cloak scout: Seen instantly while cloaked. (Poor guy... I know how annoying it is.)
Clearly your doing something wrong. Also you should bring friends along.

It sounds very ignorant. Since a shotgun and CR are usually attached to something moving very fast and a HMG is attached to something usually stationary or slow.
Honestly, I kill most people with my HMG by them running directly into the end of the barrel, hence the "time honored" argument. Like the winds of time will carry them past my barrage of bullets, then they wonder wtf could have went wrong and why they didn't kill me.
I've had more then enough people sneak up behind me, or kill me from a safe distance, the smart thing to do. Charging a bull head on is stupid and you shouldn't question why you got your *** kicked from doing it. The effective range of the HMG is outdone by all Assault weapons, for a good reason. Your screen tells you the distance from me to you as well.

Here's the thing though, every other suit is way easier to kill with those ' counters ' you listed than heavies.
And every other suit is faster and can carry equipment. I could understand everyone crying about it if the suit didn't have any drawbacks as everyone makes it seem.
Not to mention the heavy suit's scan, you should almost always be able to see where it is.
Have you noticed there are more then enough people out there who can kill a heavy suit with ease? Maybe you should take a minute to analyze what they are doing right.
I actually run Min/Amarr assault, Min scout, I can kill a heavy fairly easy in each one. I really don't see what the big deal is o.O

Clearly your doing something wrong. Also you should bring friends along. I had a squad, who was doing everything they could, but it didn't work. I used a ADV CR, a PRO ACR, ADV PLC, ADV MD, PRO RR, PRO ARR. None of it worked, they simply retreated. The only thing that I saw kill a Heavy was my PLC shots in a crowded room. I was then killed my a HMG. I am getting exceptionally annoyed with the 'Heavies are fine going 33/3' people.
So it's wrong for a heavy to go 33/3 but okay for any other suit is what your trying to say?
I've seen proto heavies go negative and assault/scout users go better then 33/3.
Honestly if I failed that bad trying to kill them, I would have just walked away to another point.
......Waaaait, were you in that match, the skirmish at bravo, where there is only the two ways in. The drop down in the back and the road out front?

However as you say in your sig, your a heavy. Why do you defend heavies that prove themselves OP as all ****? I mean 18/0, seen assaults do it. Done better in a scout. 33/3 in STD? Yeah, that's where I draw the line.
Really? FotM? I have proto Min/Ammar assault, Min Scout, Amarr Commando, Amarr/Gal heavy, and I'm FotM? I can kill any heavy in any of those suits, I have many times and will continue to do so.
You clearly missed the term "flavor of the month" because it's the ONE thing that's OP as hell and everyone does. Saying my 6 different suits and weapons are FotM is just an ignorant statement to start with.
I can kill a heavy with either combat rifle, either ScR, Massdriver, Shotgun, Nova knives, SMG, bolt pistol, grenades, remotes, or wtf ever else you want to toss in my hands.
If 80% of everything is FotM, just give the **** up and quit o.O
What I am saying here, is that a good player, no matter what they put on, will do well. Especially if they know how to use what they are using. There is a time and a place for everything, hence why we skill into different things and form squads.

Those people don't last in the long run though. You can tell because they get dropped like a fly when they actually run up on someone who knows what they are doing.
A real heavy knows it's not about the kills, anyone who runs heavy in PC a lot knows that.
Honestly, I prefer my Amarr assault suit now, though I find my commando to be the most amusing and fun <3
Ah, thought you mighta been, me and my buddies decided to take a couple heavies, logis, and scouts and just hold down that one point for the whole game xD

The first thing you come at me with is an insult, makes you sound like a child. Clearly you missed the part where I said I also play with at least 4 non-heavy suits and weapons. Proto in them all and I play with them more collectively them my heavy. The heavy will still have it's role to play and I will continue to use it when it's appropriate.

I mean, if I hadn't killed every kind of suit in the game at one point or another, using militia variants of everything (I do this periodically to see what I want to skill into next) then I would indeed feel silly.
Since your brain cells are clearly too busy fighting for oxygen, I'll go ahead and point out that it's more then just a game of "Oh a red berry, -pewpew-", and you should think before engaging your opponent. Ask anyone who is actually good at the game if they can kill a heavy suit c;

Combat rifles and Rail rifles do it quicker than others, but nowhere near instantly. I've yet to see someone rip through a full health heavy with an ACR with anything LESS than a full clip. (Barring Minmatar, because Min heavies have nowhere near enough HP) Shotguns take 2-3 shots. Still a good second or two. We just start the engagement while your back is turned, and try to end it without being on the receiving end of the death machine. RE's against a single heavy is stupid. Use them against heavy blobs. Which is perfectly fine. As long as you guys are resistant to Grenade and MD spam, RE's will remain the most effective way of pushing multiple heavies off an objective, short of pulling out heavies of your own. My personal rule: If it takes "X" spam to counter "X" spam, SOMETHING is broken. You guys still have the highest TTK in the game for most weapons. Try not to make it sound like you guys are paper thin. You aren't.
Fact of the matter, the suit does what it was intended for. So I'm not saying it's paper thin, assuming you can run it right.
I can do equally well in my Assault, Scout, or Commando suit, if not better then my heavy suit most of the time. No one seems to want to explain that phenomenon though.... Or my Logi, going 2000wp+ almost every time I want to run it.
Lately I prefer my other suits to my heavy because they are more fun and are not as limited as the heavy. With a heavy suit, your limited to your choice of attack and defending style.
