Scout - a person(s) or equipment (drone, airplane, robotic camera, ect.) used to collect information, usually without being seen or detected.
Assault - a sudden, violent attack.
Which definition better fits scouts in the current meta?

How am I being biased when I simply quoted the definition and asked if it accurately represented the class? If anything you are being clouded by your bias towards scouts.

As a whole, those who have been using such definitions wish to limit Scouts to doing nothing a conventional FPS requires. I think all classes should have a role, including Scouts. When Assaults were UP, I offered suggestions and support to bring them up to par. I am certainly bias towards Scouts, but I neither want them OP nor UP, anymore than any other role.
You assume the worst of me. I neither want OP nor UP scouts either. In fact, I have always wanted nothing but balance and roles amongst all classes. Right now, I dont see a role for scout other than sneaky assault. Scouts should be hacking, scanning, relaying intel, dropping links, ect. IMO. The fact that I choose my scout 4/5 times over my assault for ASSAULT-like duties, says the something is wrong with the scout class. And I run supposedly the best Assault in the game..

Couldnt find a real definition for LAV or deployment vehicle..

You also take the hardest scout to use and lump it in with the rest of the others. I have used every scout but the amarr and the min is completely different from the cal/gal, which are fairly easy-mode IMO..
