How is it that at Sprint speed 10..when I approach someone in an open field meters away from me, zig sagging, the majority of the bullets hit Yet, when I'm 5 meters away, with a simple ADADA strafe the majority of them miss?
in both these instances hes is making the same movements and holding down fire button continuously through the entire clip while I weave through the hitscan line ..
This is the problem with low hp suits if you're meters away from someone running at an arc around them, or zig zag toward them all their shots hit even when full auto.
The hit scan is too forgiving in this situations and maximum damage is applied. What is the point of all that speed and all the disruption it causes to the players aim if the aim assist compensates? There is no way to avoid it other than tremendous player error

It's easier to shoot targets far away because you can aim at them better.

Draemon is right. In eve, speed tanking works at range because weapons have a tracking limit. In dust, there is no limit to tracking except turn speed. If someone has good aim and high sensitivity you will die. Good thing most dust players have crap aim...

Stay out of sight, use those fancy passive scans to sneak up behind your target.. Then use that 10m/s to plant a knife in their back :D
If they see you, that's when you use that speed to get away and make a second attack.

Plus Speed tanking is more reserved for Guerrilla Warfare. Not running away and escaping.

AA is the difference. At range, it's sticky enough to kill you. Up close, your movement speed breaks it much easier.
That said, if you're attacker is suffering low framerate, even hitting a 10m/s target at range becomes extremely difficult/impossible. |

It should be broken just as easily at medium ranges. Full auto fire with that level adhesion is not very cool

speed tanking cqc is effective to get in and out of certain situations. but in the open, you want something with range cus running wont do much good.
