It's fun, man, you can't say it isn't if you haven't played it on PS4.
I had my run of competitive gaming in a hardcore community in DUST. While I had fun in PC, the grind in between is dull. PC being unique to DUST and only DUST doesn't make up for it's dull graphics, instability, lazy and clunky shooting mechanics and overall bland gameplay in a futuristic environment that should have so much potential. In Planetside 2, I don't grind to get my next OP fit, I grind because I'm having so much fun and there are so many different things to try and explore.
Bases in PS2 have much more than just "hack the objective, spam uplinks (YES I KNOW BANDWITH REDUCES THIS), kill ****, move on). It's really cool to pour into a base with sunders, tanks, airplanes and infantry. You battle over shield generators to shut down enemy defenses against vehicles and can even destroy the enemies ability to naturally respawn at a base, and take crucial objectives to secure the base.
While all this **** is happening, there's crazy airfights going in the skies, along with huge vehicle convoys totally wrecking **** man, it can be really badass. There are jump pads, and teleporters, and all this cool **** everywhere that makes it FEEL like a futuristic game. Planes don't look like flying refrigerators (dropships), they're massive and are actually quite effective.
It's really good, I'll save my beta code just for you so you can eat your words when you get a PS4.

you're on the dust forums... Calling PS2 cheap, lol. You're right, PS2 doesn't have 5 different avenues to give them money - just buy the weapons or move on - Dust has plenty of ways for you to spend money... so that it can go to progressing there R&D budget.
