How do I stop dying as a scout? I tend to die 15 times a battle. How can I make isk/sp faster without having to play bush.? Wat Cores skills should I max first if I'm gal Shotty scout? Does any1 have any gal/ammar/min Fw chats I can join? Does Kd matter?

Hello Been a scout since Beta No you will not stop dying as a scout, well not really. But you will improve. I hate BushGǪ I play Skirmish mostly. You can make a decent amount of SP and ISK in that mode. I don't have any FW channelsGǪ. Does kd matter to you? It does not to me I like having fun more than having a big K and little D
When do you play? I may be able to squad up with you and help a littleGǪ Also a sent out the Scout Signal so you should see a few experienced scouts popping up in here soon

I recommend playing Skirmish with the occasional Domination.
There's more than 1 way to earn War Points (and by extension ISK and SP)
Deploy Uplinks, Nanohives, Hack objectives and installations and sabotage enemy equipment. Sometimes smaller yields, but easier to do and as the battle progresses, it'll continually net points
Try militia variants at first to save on both isk and sp then you'll find your place.
Best of luck

First off hit up the Scouts United chat channel in game. A number of us old scout vets are in the channel and that way you can squad up with fellow scouts to get pointers.
As far as skills focus on the entire dropsuit upgrades skill tree. Those skills will help any future suit you will skill into. So things like shield/armor upgrades, biotic upgrades, shield extension, armor plates, armor repair, equipment like murt said, electronics and engineering (increase fitting capacity of your suits), and profile dampening are all good places/skills to work on.
As far as suits stick with just 1 to start and dump your points into it and work towards gal scout 5. Weapons I would focus on 1-2 primary weapons and 1 side arm. If you are going with the shotgun as 1 of your primaries having a rifle like the combat rifle or assault rifle will be good for those more open maps.
Also drop by the Barbershop thread over in the locker room. That is where many of us hang out and talk shop. There is about 1500 pages worth of info to sift through so its probably just easier to ask a question there than try to find the answer in the thread.
Click it! I dare you...

The greatest and most underrated power of the scout is the ability to pick your battles. Even though you are playing a fast paced FPS, you have to remember that your greatest asset is your patience. The path to improvement begins with situation assessment and course of action.
You know you are doing it right when 2 times out of 3 you choose to observe instead of to act.
This is universal regardless of which scout you play. You decide the rules of engagement. You get to decide to appear and attack when the target is already damaged, you get to decide to get to higher ground with a bit of cover before opening fire, you decide whether a target looks too experienced for you to tackle head on, you get to decide whether you should stay or to move on.
Play skirmish as Llast suggested, but don't get overly concerned with the objectives. The more you watch the more you will understand what makes a situation favourable enough to merit for you to attack.
Core skills that you will need in my opinion, in order of importance:
Your scout suit of choice V
Dropsuit Biotics Upgrades IV (come back to get level V when done with below)
Dropsuit Core Upgrades III Drop Uplinks III (this is your main SP maker right here)
Dropsuit Engineering Dropsuit Electronics (both of these as high as you need them to fit the things you want, no more)
Profile Dampening (as high as you can get it) Precision Enhancements and Range Amplification are good to have, get them to at least III, finish them off when you can.
Dropsuit Shield Upgrades V Dropsuit Armor Upgrades V (these two increase your eHP in a permanent way, do not neglect)
There are other core skills to get depending on your playstyle and such, but I consider the above to be absolutely fundamental. If you ever doubt where you should put your SP, make sure you have the above !
Well placed uplinks are the fastest and easiest way for new players to get warpoints.
Know what cannot be known.

Whoa, cores before dropsuit command. A balanced approach will probably net you the best results. Beyond that, the above advice is dead on. Take the time to pick your engagements, explore the maps & find some routes where no one will find you as well as routes that get you out of hot spots quick. Don't worry about your kdr, we are clone mercs so death means nothing. Instead, focus on profitability, it will help you get used to putting in good work with low level suits & helps easy the pain on protostomps.
Dom & skirm are the best modes since there is plenty of space to run without running into anyone...except other scouts.
I'm trying to make the grass fabulous but the f**king sticks won't work!

I got a question do you need to pick a specific race to get the race bonus exaple let's say I create a caldari and I use a amarr assault suit would I only get the bonus for light, sidearm and grenades but not the heat build-up or would I only be able to use caldari then get race bonuses?

Bonus applies to the suit you are wearing in battle. For example, Gal Scout bonus only applies to suits that are Gal Scouts including BPO scouts, if you wear a Gal Assault suit then your bonuses for Gal scout do not apply. The characters race does not affect your suit bonus. What you have spent skill points on is what matters.
