This sounds like something I hear every day since May 14, 2013. Also, I suggest you tone down your expectations. CCP has never developed a first-person shooter before in their entire existence before Dust came along. So at least cut them some slack (not to be confused with 'never complain').

So at least cut them some slack (not to be confused with 'never complain'). they don't deserve any slack. i'm sure they have thick skin by now. if we cut them too much slack they will go on to over conceptualize on their next projects like they did with dust. the first rule of dev is you don't do that, you don't pace back and forth on a stage and talk about pipe dreams to the oohs and ahhs of the audience as the lights dim and the screen behind the guy pacing lights up with stuff they will never add- you just don't do that.. -deliver solid frame rate before anything else.
You have a point there.
However, if you happen to notice, the game actually started to come together after CCP Rattati took over with a new Dust team. Before, the old team was run by an old Executive Producer who -- for a long time -- didn't know what he was doing before he got replaced by CCP Rouge. On top of that, the old team(s) was/were lacking inter-team communication which hindered any chance of good ideas being implemented into the game sooner. But then CCP Rattati, CCP Frame, and CCP Logibro took over and helped get Dust back together (albeit slowly but surely this time) almost immediately after Fanfest 2014. That would be last year at this point.
My only gripe with this game at this point is that this change in management should have occurred sooner and could have saved Dust from the hellish PR is suffered in the wake of the Rouge Wedding.
