I have an idea for a crazy probably stupid new type of rep tool
I'd call it a efficiency booster and yes it is similar to other ideas that involved reducing shield rep times and recharging
The concept is a device which allows you to convert your stamina into raw energy and give it to another player.
You lock on with R1 but to activate you have to press L1
What it does is boost the efficiency of almost everything on the targeted player
This includes:
Basically all Core upgrades:
Shield recharging/enhancing
Armor regen
Profile dampening,scan range, scan precision
This affects weapons as well
Reduces any weapon heat or charge time buildup and reload times
(Hmg, rail weapons, laser, swarms charge time)
How I propose to make this a balanced idea is the L1 function. Pressing L1 activates the tool AND drains your stamina. It would drain as if you are sprinting
The tool will have a cool down period and once you disengage/run out of stamina and you must wait 20 - 10 sec depending on meta lvl of the tool.
I was thinking this would be Amarr tech and would benefit those that use the green cardiac bottles
Like the cloak you can only have one efficiency booster equipped at a time and you cannot have a rep tool equipped.
(Imagining a logi with both sounds op to me)
This weapon will have no benefit to active scanners (I'm not sure if profile scanning stacks with scanners. If so then that ability would be removed)
I suck at numbers, but I was thinking something like:
7% efficiency bonus to targeted player
And
7% efficiency bonus to every equipped module, 3% bonus for each additional module that affects the same stat
As far as weapons are concerned this would be a raw 7% reduction to heat build up, charge time, reload speed, and lock on.
Rewards are very similar to the rep tool
35 guardian wp for each kill
And whatever parameters gave you 25 wp on the rep tool now give 10wp on the efficiency tool
I'm not sure if these numbers do nothing or break everything, so if someone who likes this idea would like to give some input please do
