Just to put my vote in there... I don't want PvE in Dust514... If I want PvE I'll play a game designed to be PvE.
What I want is for people to:
Stop tacking multiplayer onto single player games.
Let a multiplayer game, be a multiplayer game.
Focus on things that are connected to the main idea behind the game.
Games do not have to be 'a bit of everything.' There are enough games around, for people to just switch the game they are playing if they want a different experience. |

I have nothing against PvE in general, I might enjoy it, I had a lot of fun with things like 'Monster Hunter' and several other co-op games. I'm also looking forward to 'Dragons Dogma Online' if it ever makes it over here without the usual level of Capcom Free2BuyEverythingYouNeedToPlayTheGame.
However wasting time developing a different game on top of the game, is taking away resources (that are apparently quite limited) from the main PvP game, which is still far from complete in most peoples eyes.
I could care less about business decisions, I only care about the games themselves... If it can't survive without something else tacked on, then it shouldn't exist. Meanwhile the game appears to be doing better than it did for a long while and therefore needs nothing tacked on to save it. |

That means your incredibly important PvP modes disappear too. With some careful monetization CCP could create another avenue to make money from aurum sales. Aurum sales translate into profit and profit means more devs, which if we keep with my previous assertion that PvP remains core gameplay, means more PvP development too.
You can dream that it's done somewhere and not being implemented, while I can assume it isn't... Either way with the info we have, it's most likely not happening.
My idea of 'waste' is spot on, based on the info we have.
If you want more Aurum sales, then enjoy the Quafe-everything that has become available and be ready for more things in-line with that. |
