And be moved to its own server or SiSi for better performance and using less resources for making this gimmicky barely used system work? Interested in your thoughts too but please vote here http://strawpoll.me/3776303

I'm guessing he's correlating the lag issues with the connectivity to the Tranquility server. I'm not technically inclined enough to guess whether that would increase the FPS, though I doubt it would be that easy. Keep in mind that this would essentially cost us FW and PC. Entire game modes are more than gimmicks.

Yup this. Lag was worse before we moved onto tranquility. The battle against lag is pretty much unrelated. |

@Draxus Prime
For someone of your experience and given how long you've been around (aren't you a closed beta vet as well?), I'm surprised you don't know about the servers at this point.
Tranquility (TQ) is far more stable than any of the other servers that CCP maintains in London and to disconnect Dust from TQ will mean that FW and PC will be heavily affected. Besides, last time we were in the test server like Singularity (SiSi), the game was highly unstable and caused a lot of problems with people's consoles and connectivity. The move to TQ addressed some of that in addition to CCP trying to optimize the client.
Also, I don't think TQ is the one causing lag issues. Since we are indirectly connected to TQ via battle servers and the PlayStation Network, I'm guessing the lag issue is centered around there. Ever noticed lag being more common after a certain battle server got shut down a long time ago? Players from far-away regions migrated to the other battle servers which caused more lag issues. In the meantime, Eve Online players have hardly encountered any lag issues other than just some recent hiccups this past month.

Yes it very much needs to b removed from TQ
Why?
We need our own market mechanics. Currently our items are just auto orders created on the Eve market which is why we see battle restocks lag so bad and limits on restocks.
We need our own corp mechanics. Small but helpful thing to make it easier for newbies to move in and out of a corporation.
Movement among stations. This would really making it easier to open up the MMO aspect.
NO DOWNTIME. In a grind based FPS kicking everyone out once a day for no reason related to this game is just blah.
Deployment schedules would not have to be based on EVE stuff. Can you imagine rapid deployment with a 10 minute downtime at any scheduled point of the day? How about being able to reboot and make emergency changes anytime that is needed?
Why not?
Losing FW links? Nope. Those already happen via API because battles do not take place on TQ itself anyway.
Losing chat channels that link to Eve? Voice is via third party but text chat would probably require a new API interface.
I do not know the inner workings at all but I do not single a single benefit of being on tranquility and only minor drawbacks that are far outweighed by pluses when moving off tranquility.
