All cores skills: It improves every suit.
Save room to optimize: Go to protofits, make your dream build. You'll need that extra PG to make it work.
Minmando/swarms: Current AV area denial champion.
GalLogi/Scans: All seeing eye.
Uplinks: Because being the only person putting them out will make you WP lord.
Pythons: Uplink providing and denying, high flying death machines.
Minmatar Assault: Middle of the road assault. It will survive the nerfs that will kill other suits.
AR, CR, SCR, RR: Pick one based on your preferred range of engagement. If you like playing the outskirts go SCR or RR, a bit closer CR, and if you're super friendly go AR.
Explosives: Core nades are necessary. If you chose CR as your main Light weapon use flux grenades. You'll make up that difference, by melting armor.
Plasma Cannon: For fun, and that is all.
Heavy/HMG: Amarr. As much as I hate to admit it, it's the one thing the Amarr do right.
Logi/Reptool: Minmatar, because rep rates and lock on ranges are the best. WP farmers.
If you own any APEX suits you'll want the corresponding suit decked out in order to use the APEX suit to it's full potential, or don't. It's a free suit. Who cares? Until you see that reload speed on the Renegade.
There are no right answers here.
You have to know yourself more than anything. Your play style is your own so pick the suit that compliment your style and that will make you the happiest. Some people like sniping, and some people think cucumbers are better tasting pickles.

I figured with 70 million SP you had a lot of game knowledge, but when you asked what to skill into I thought you might be slow in the head. So I spoke in gentle tones and never made any fast movements.

Some people like sniping, and some people think cucumbers are better tasting pickles. I have a fair amount of game knowledge. I should have been more clear. What would you like me to spec into and why? I'll edit the op.
Honestly, the reason I answered that way is that if you spec'd into all of the above, you'd be a very well rounded player. You could switch roles easily and always fill in where needed. These roles come up frequently in PC. The only thing I didn't suggest is a scout, because I'm the worst scout ever and wouldn't dare to tell anyone how to spec into that.
With 70 million, you should be able to proficiently carry out multiple roles on the battlefield which will make you marketable as a ringer, or a valuable asset to any team.

Don't get me wrong, I'm into it, but do your Amarr brethren know you talk this dirty?

This one is for when the enemy team is relying on scouts. You'll run multiple scanners and keep the enemies lit up. It's a support role, but your team won't be getting stabbed in the back and having REs frisbee'd on them. This suit gains maximum team gratitude. If utilized properly you can engage enemy scouts at a distance...they'll be the fast moving red dots, still trying to flank after getting high beamed.
It also gains WPs out the ass through assist kills.

Have a good squad of slayers with you. With you keeping the enemies perma-scanned and watching flanks, they'll kill more efficiently and keep you not dead. It's not a solo'n kind of suit.
