Hey guys, I got a decent amount of traffic on these videos, but feedback on these videos has been a bit slim. The idea was to do experimental films of PCs using the footage from 2 different players. Without more input, I have no idea which of these 4 formats worked best,.
The first 2 are battle vs Ahrendee earlier in the year..
The second 2 are battles vs State of Purgatory in the middle of february.
Pls try to ignore the various player rants, as much as possible and tell me which of these formats worked best.
If you have an idea for something, such as splitsceen without people voices etc, amazing music ideas, etc, let me know

Impossible to do, but I've always wanted to see a PC battle from a players perspective, and then have the overhead map in a box in one of the corners. This overhead map would have ALL players lit up.
It would be cool to see how the match ebbs and flows.

Your "Splitscreen w/Sides Pushed In" format is the best by far.

hmm we could never do that perfectly, but with 2 players with capture cards, one person sitting out on a team, and enough people running scanners, we could get close.
crapton of work to pull that off though.

Exactly. Its a pipe dream.
But damn I would love to see a feature like that.
Show it to people trying to get into PC, like watching football tapes.
Watching the pushes, Link clears, etc.
Would be an excellent learning tool for new corps.

Ton of editing but could turn out interesting:
Sprinkle people who record on both teams in a pc match.
(no clue how many still actively record)
Hope at least 8.
4 on each side.
1 on each team sitting in the MCC watching the overhead map
Pick a map that has 3 point city 2 outside.
I volunteer to be home point guy XD

I liked the squished sides no gaga, but the highlights one was pretty interesting. If you could find a nice mix between the too it might be better instead of having a small screen in the bottom left. |

I very well may be the oddball on this but i think a portion capture on the center of each screen side by side with another portion cut of the letters / mcc in the top left corner would be better.
This would allow the eyes to travel back and forth easier while the peripheral vision spots action on the other side and goes back to that side. Stacked screens just leave your eyes bouncing back and forth hoping you do not miss something.
I tossed together a basic example of what I mean using snips from one of my old streams. It may seem like a lot but Open Broadcaster would make pretty easy work of streaming this setup live so a post cut should not be too bad.
