Ever wanted to be a kamikaze? (I'm not sure since "Suicide is forbidden in public areas"). But still, this can help you in extreme cases.
Go next to your enemy (recommand using scout), then hold the L2 button, as you would do to throw a grenade, but do not release it. After a certain time (depending on the grenade you use), the grenade will explode in your hands, dealing damages to both you and your enemy, but I'm not sure you can die of it (I tried it with Minmatar assault medium frame, never tried with scout or other)
You can do this with a scout frame and run into heavies, dealing them deadly damages (while risking your life.)
I know this can be stupid since dying is the last thing you want, but if you know you're in a really bad MELEE situation, you can at least take your enemy's soul with you ;) |

I do still recall being able to use locuses to bypass the Friendly Fire block in pubs, allowing you to kill campers/snipers/people sitting still for 4+ seconds. (by placing your hand inside their bumhole and blowing up your hand)
All in all there's still the chance they'd just simply walk behind a wall or something, or even the chance they kill you and your cooking locus.
All in all i'd just recommend you throw it at the nearest exit/hiding spot where you think they'd go, allowing you to keep your main gun on them and also so you don't just stop strafing and start trying to bear hug them.
Then just run into your enemy and throw the grenade on the ground right before it explodes. (You'll get damages if you stay near it) |

Try with a Scout frame and a Cloak field.
