The regular AR fails to fight considerable threats from HMG's, shotguns, pistols, SMG's and other rifles who share its optimal. Which means you consistently have to try to get farther away from these threats (outside of your ideal range) to have a chance at defeating them. The Breach AR currently functions the best as the ideal Gallente standard weapon having both high damage and low dispersion. The Burst AR is great for successive head shots and the TAR is great at range or in CQC with damage mods. Put your flags up in the sky. And wave them side to side. Show the world where you're from. Show the world we are one.

One the RoF coupled with damage profile makes it rip through anything. Two, a lot of people armor tank so even if you think the CR isn't OP it's still better because most people armor tank. *As long as 4/5 (80%) of infantry AV weapons are Anti Armor based you're never going to achieve vehicle balance CCP*

I really don't get that though... By all rights, the Standard AR is more powerful currently than it has ever been since E3 Demo. It has bigger magazines and higher RoF than ever before, while still retaining nearly identical damage per shot and an overall higher DPS than ever before. It also has access to two suits that directly improve the weapons performance, something it never had before Uprising 1.8... It's better than it has ever been. I understand that the RR and CR were released OP and made it rather useless, but they have since been cut down to size... Home at Last <3

You might also want to remember that pretty much everything got power creep since Chromosome, multiple times. Oh and sharpshooter no longer boosts AR range to current RR range. The AR has 10%~ more damage over the RR, yet the optimal and effective range difference approaches the 50%. On that scale, you could see why the ACR is the best deal.
