Which would you rather fight, an amsent approaching assault speed with 1/3rd the HP?
Or an amarr brick with a logi behind him?
I know which one I would rather fight.

The Amarr sentinel be just as fast because slot layout but that doesn't mean it can do the speed game as good as the minmatar sentinel,it would just be wasting the amarr sentinel's potential. Besides the Amarr sentinel can barely move already, making it any slower will make it a gorgeous looking target practice As you can see from stats, amarr sentinel reach similar speed of the min sent, while keeping better armor regen, but worst shield regen. Consideting it has more HP, i think it's better than min sent at speed tanking, this should not be possible. With today's trend? Amarr sentinels would rather brick tank than speed tank because its more "viable". I haven't seen an amarr sentinel that doesnt stack plates anyway despite playing for a fairly long time. Once they do speed tank more then surely the amarr will get a speed nerf. Sounds kinda funny, amarr getting a speed nerf. Its like strapping an anvil onto a tortoise unlikely to get nerfed. At that point they'e only slightly more tanky than an assault.

I'm gonna go fit all complex damps on a sentinel and complain they're invisible.... After that gonna go fit all complex armor plates on a minmatar scout and complain they are too tanked.... After that, probably a bunch of shield regulators ona ammar assault and complain about the shield regen... After that , maybe fit complex heavy damage mods on a caldari assault.... because lol, forums i'm really crying inside... this post pretty much sums up my overall opinion of everything

shaman oga wrote:My main concern with Amarr sent is their 4th slot, when gal sentinel had it was quite balanced with amarr, gallente had less HP and less stamina, speed tanking was possible, but stamina made minmatar clearly better at it. Min just needed a little HP buff which has received, caldari has been inderectly buffed with changes to the projectile weapons.
Most of the modules are on the lows, having a lot of lows gives you the possibility of being eclectic, but if you start with more HP and more stamina, without even a single module fitted, there is something wrong in my opinion.
You have to trade something to be good in other things, but if you can almost completely negate your downside using modules and be effective as another suit, built for that, in my opinion that suit is out of its role.
I'm not calling for a super nerf hammer on Amarr sentinel, but it has to be toned down somewhow. Just like what happened to cal/gal scout with bonus nerf, you can't have everything on a single suit.
unless it proves overpowering, no it doesn't need a nerf. That's the key. Just because it offends your sense of aesthetic doesn't mean it needs to be toned down.
And it doesn't, and hasn't overperformed. You're hardly the first person to note that this is possible.

It's clear that it has better stats in general and more possibility of fitting. As for overperfoming we don't know, but Amarr sentinel is the best seller among the other sentinels. That's because you can sit it on an objective with a logi leash and 1700 EHP.
You know how many people run speedfits on those things on any serious basis?
Me and maybe three other people tops. And I really can't call the speed fit serious. it dies too fast.

Funny enough, I do a lot better with the minsent than I do the amsent anyway.
Your assertion is not supported by data. the amsent speedfit is no more survivable than the minsent and requires identical tactics.
less survivable in fact because native regen on an amarr sentinel sucks.
