Never really thought of it like this, but it is.
I always thought that using it as a designated marksman and suppressing unit with the regular Laser Rifle and standard charge Scrambler Rifle was the way to go.
Well I was completely wrong.
Instead of the charge Scrambler Rifle the optimal weapon to carry is the Assault Scrambler Rifle.
Seventy-two rounds of high precision judgement. +10% damage and +25% reload speed on top of an already fast reload. At medium range it is a Machine gun, an LMG. The MG-42 of Dust 514.
The amount of tiers extractable by this method is unparalleled.

Kinda the way I have ran it since I got it, regular ScR over heats too quick anyway.
I also pack a massdriver, but that's only because it's so fun to use ;)

I have my Gallmando for that. AR doesn't overheat, either.

It would be like running a logi like an Assault. It might do Ok but it won't be as good as an actual Assault.

ehhhhh. Not really a MG... An AR should be feathered every 30-40 rounds, and an AScR overheats a little after that. And how does a faster realod make it more like a machine gun?
If anything, I find the AR to be more like a MG. Its quite simply better for sustained fire, as the only thing that needs to be done is feathering.

I too enjoy the asscrambler on the amarr mando. At lvl 5 it hits pretty hard. My problem is with the viewkick and -20 its hard to finish people off. my favorite being stomped fit is std commando, std ascr, std acr and r9's. Its less than 20k so stomp away boys cuz i'm farming my own blues for wp
