How the hell do you forget jenzas pants? Those are scarred into my mind. 2 worst corps in history though? Molon labe and KEQ obviously Molon Labe was really REALLY bad for how vocal they were. Meta nerds with no gun game.
Were? We're still vocal. And we still have no gun game.
Now that we have no districts, our meta game sucks too.
Those Osmond Surveillance guys, however, are a force!
Starter corp FTW! |

Hey, wait a minute....
We're back on the starmap!
ML is again a force to be reckoned with!
Now, if only someone would lend us a gun game, we'd really be going somewhere.... |

Some people measure "good" corps for their ability to dominate PCs.
Some people measure "good" corps for their ability to stick around for a long time.
Which is the right way to look at it? I can't say. But what I can say is that these two factors tend to run counter to each other.

Which is the right way to look at it? I can't say. But what I can say is that these two factors tend to run counter to each other:
Over and over and over again in competitive gaming, I've seen the best of the best coalesce into a team, only to fall as quickly as they rose. Similarly, in every game I've ever played, you've got the average guys who look at things in a more inclusive way, and they are the ones that tend to stick around.
Which is "worst" and which is "best" is a matter of perspective -- and let's not forget that we all, by our nature, tend to self-select corps that follow our own perspective. Well the good corps get tired of winning all the time and leave the game because the dust playerbase OFFERS SO LITTLE COMPETITION. The bad corps stay on dust trying to get better which will never happen. You might climb to the top of the pile of trash. That doesn't change the fact that you are still trash yourself. Its not a matter of perspective. Bad corps who stay together are still bad. That just means you like to play together and you don't mind losing. Which is fine by me and I respect that you keep trying but don't try and act like that makes you good because it doesn't. I'm talking about skill by the way. Not in terms of which corps has the best gaming community. I don't care how long you have been together. Trash is trash no matter how you want dress it up. EDIT-Not trying to be malicious. Its just the truth.
Oh, the old "we're too good for dust" argument. lol
Actually, what typically happens is the "good corps" lose, bruise their fragile egos, and disband.....only to reappear on forums like this and look down their noses at others from their parent's basement.
Not trying to be malicious. It's just the truth.
And if you meant "skilled" then why didn't you say "skilled"? Because nobody is arguing corps like ML are highly skilled. However, to call ML -- the #1 all time corp in terms of kills and WP -- among the "worst corps of all time" or "trash" is simply ridiculous and symptomatic of the elitism all to prevalent in people whose only accomplishment is their skills in a video game.
So, for me at least, when I came to Dust looking for guys to play with, I stayed away from the elite corps. Not because I didn't have the opportunity, not because I couldn't compete, but rather because I've done all that before and just wanted to be a part of something that lasts more than a few months.
And if that makes me and the rest of the guys in ML "trash" to you, so be it. In the meantime, I'll continue to be proud of what we have accomplished, and you can continue to live off success you had in a game years ago and the self-aggrandizing so typical of your kind. |

Not because I didn't have the opportunity, not because I couldn't compete, but rather because I've done all that before and just wanted to be a part of something that lasts more than a few weeks/months. And who said we don't mind losing? That's just silly -- of course we hate losing. We just don't quit when it happens. And if that makes me and the rest of the guys in ML "trash" to you, so be it. In the meantime, I'll continue to be proud of what we have accomplished, and you can continue to live off success you had in a game years ago and the self-aggrandizing so typical of your kind without further distraction from the hoi-polloi. Take care....Leadfoot I didn't know being one one the worst corps of all time was an accomplishment. Good job. I will tell you the specific reason why ML was listed. The reason ML was listed is because not only are your in game skills some of the worst to ever grace dust. Your corp is one of the worst corps I have ever played against in any fps ever. Dust has some of the worst players in fps gaming and ML just sticks out as one of the worst of the worst. Sorry but its the truth. Your players are so consistently bad that I find it hilarious you can even take yourself seriously while defending your corp. Obvious meta is bad. Call me a basement dweller and an ego freak all you want. ML is one of the worst corps of all time no matter how you want to dress it up. No matter how you want to meta up your image your corp is still one of the worst fps corp to ever play dust. I haven't seen players that are this bad since PRO. Oh that makes sense considering Molon Labe was birthed from PROs anus. I understand that after it got stretched out by the community you guys slipped out. Remember where you came from though. Your corp was birthed from trash. I'm fairly certain a handful of 12 year old CoD basement dwellers would beat ML 99 out of 100 times. ML as one of the worst of all time on dust. Absolutely. ML as one of the worst gaming groups in gaming history. Arguable.
According to who? You? lol Rampage? lol harder
'Tis better to be a member of a trash corp than to simply be trash.
But, hey, I'm sure your mom is proud of your videogame accomplishments! Someday you'll be able to look back on your life, reminisce on your 1337 4.0 KDR, how you and the Imps dominated PC for a few months, and how how much better you were than the rest of us plebeians -- all the while humming the anti-social anthem of how many tears you were able to farm. lol
Good luck with that. I'm sure it'll work out well for you....Leadfoot |

Re-FLeX wrote:I find it funny when even after so much time has passed, the scrub corps still cling on to the fact that they can actually achieve something in a game that has long since passed away... based entirely on how long you can stick around.
It's like a meat fly clinging to this thrash of a game.
Also please stop trying to justify skilled corps moving on to other games with stupid lines like: "Actually, what typically happens is the "good corps" lose, bruise their fragile egos, and disband.....only to reappear on forums like this and look down their noses at others from their parent's basement."
We had fun, game got boring, we moved on, that's about it... we didn't leave because we were butthurt, we just left because either; 1- we achieved the top and it's lonely 2- the game was bad to start with, & lol CCP promises 3- beating scrubs day in and day out is not so fun in the long term 4- Better games came out
Also be it PC or Pubs, there is no real difference.
Anyway's just came in here to o7 Crimson and Lol'ing at Molon Lab for being so butthurt about certain opinions players have in this game.
Who's butthurt? You?
It's not our fault you quit a game that you dominated for two months when it was possible to have a 2x or 4x SP advantage from no-lifing it early in this game's history.
You guys were good, no doubt, but you're not nearly as good as you think you are. If you ever had the balls to come back instead of taking pot shots from your keyboard you'd be put in your place and quit after losing just like your ilk have done over and over and over again.
But, hey, you can always look back on that time and reminisce as to how you beat dust and went out on top of all of us scrubs.
You'll just have to pardon me if I disagree with your little buddy's ridiculous assessment of our corp. We (and other people who have stuck around) have come a long way since then. The facts are neither of you have any idea what talent we have on our team or what talent remains in this game -- you don't even play any more.
But please continue shower us with just how great you are again and how terrible we are, then call us butthurt if we disagree....I'm sure your mom is proud. lol |

If you say so, Heim.
What about the teams that beat Cap? I guess they suck too.
How could you (or, more to the point, Crimson/Flex) possibly know how you'd stack up if you're not even playing PCs? It's like comparing the 1930 Athletics to the 2014 Giants without having watched the game for 50 years.
I guess that's just my arrogance speaking -- while freely admitting many/most of you are better at this game than I -- and not the fact that many/most of you haven't played this game competitively since the days when you had 5x the SP of everyone else.
And, not coincidentally, I see you've joined the latest ringer corp. Say hello to Thor for me. He's a good guy. |

When I was in TP I had 7m sp and the average was 30m.. lol I've always played with less than avg.. Right now I'm at 52 and I've been here for 3 years. But of course atm people only inv me to pc when it's against OH, but I will be having friendly fights with cap soon so yes guess we'll find out how I stack up eh? I was mediocre compared to other Imps. Also Reflex was an OG scout when they sucked nuts
Exactly! And you were stomping the "trash" in ML who mostly had 1m to 3m at the time. Hell, I was playing with a MKB on a TV with 300ms of input lag and this was my first FPS on a console.
And, FWIW, I'm 44 and have been here since open beta. Not that it matters.....except to say I've been on the front lines (albeit from my low perch in both PRO and ML) the entire time.
I also don't see you calling us trash or the worst corp of all time, either. Could that be because you're simply more mature and respectful than your Imp/TP buddies? Could it be because you have accomplished something in your 52 years and don't find the need to farm tears? Could that be because you know we're not anywhere near the worst corp of all time?
You tell me. |

I'm sorry for misinterpreting your SP for your age. lol You don't strike me as a 20yo, FWIW, and you've always seemed to me to be a cool cat.
And I don't feel any better for saying the Imps left because you lost than Crimson does in calling us the worst corp in all of gaming....except I didn't start this shitfest.
Lastly, I can certainly respect you having your friends' back -- and I hope you recognize that I'm doing precisely the same thing. |

Jigoku No ReizaSan wrote:Honestly if you think ML is bad then ML is bad, Who gives a flying cheese stick what anyone says? Every corp is on separate tiers, ML is in the tier with DMG, RG, etc etc. Crimson has been in corps that are on a higher tier than ML so obviously he'll think you're bad.
If he was saying we were bad compared to Imps or TP or any one of a number of corps, I'd agree with him. But that's not what he said.
However, you make a good point. It's simply an opinion, and he's entitled to it.
But if he's going to voice his opinion about us based on experience from a year and a half ago, you can bet I'm going to call him out for the inadequacies in his arguments.
I'm loyal like that, and I'm proud of our accomplishments, as limited as some of you might view them. |

What can you say?
You can say you don't agree and that we're nowhere near the worst corp of all time.
It's the truth, but I don't expect it to be readily admitted. Everyone likes to beat us up, and I suppose my responses like those in this thread fuel it to a certain extent.
And with that realization I'm out of this thread..... |
