I have put away my dear ScR and have taken up shield tanking in an advance cal assault...... I don't have proto yet but its still fun. shield are not anywhere near under powered if you play them right... I have all that speed on the suit but its not ment for running into the front lines.... I use it more to escape then wait 2 seconds for a speedy regen.
I would also like to say this though, shield regulators need a slight buff . I haven't learned to fear Ar and ScR because I am always in an amarr assault but when I do! you'll see shield nerf threads lol :)

agreed; I'm planning on buying a respec when the tanking changes come and I'll be moving my Amarr Logi SP into CalAssault.
Really looking forward to it.
Yeah, I'd love a buff to non-extender shield modules; rechargers are barely worth using and regulators are far outclassed by plates, even on a max shield tank... especially now that we all have built-in regen (as little as it may be).
Guys, we need to stop calling MU a 'matchmaker' when it's actually a 'teambuilder'.
And I want to play FE:A now. Damn.

Respecced out of scouts and decided to go into Min assault.
I'm still running my Ammar Assault, but it's going to be used for more in offensive situations while my Min is going to be for more of a run and gun skirmish type battles.

I think it's important to be well balanced in this game.
Armor tankers should also have a shield tanked suit & those with armor-biased light weapons should also have a shield-biased weapon. |

I did the opposite. I put away my ck.0 and bought myself an amarr ak.0
Proud owner of the ck.0, gk.0, and ak.0 assault suits. Fuk that mk.0 pos!

Should rename the thread "CalAssault or: How I learned to stop caring and love shield tanking". I've done the same and I find my CalAss to be far more entertaining to play.
