Because I fit prototype gear, but I don't require my squads to. Does that mean we aren't protostomping because we aren't all in proto?

I run fittings that are just adv, but with a proto weapon. Does that mean I'm not protostomping because it's not 100% proto?

Sometimes I have an early game proto fitting that is fitted for hack and walk/sprint speed, but after I hack things I switch to advanced. Am I protostomping because I ever fielded a proto fitting in the first place?

Or is protostomping just a blanket term used when someone kills you and you need to blame it on their gear to make yourself feel better about being a bad?

Currently the only thing im seeing is players using Minmatar Assault and abusing the lack of hit detection with constant speed strafing where my shots dont register and then the auto aiming headshot machine known as the bolt pistol. If they are relying on FOTM to be 'good' then what is the point? You are not going to improve if you spam FOTM everytime but then again to these players spamming FOTM is what makes them think they are good in the first place so im not suprised that other players have to FOTM to keep up.

Yes it's hard as a bad player, but it's not the new players that need to get good. It's the ones that have been around for months or even years yet refuse to play the ******* objective.
