Todd, we're waiting.
God willing its not some stupid ass New Vegas reboot. Please be a stand alone game. Personally I'd like to see the east coast again or perhaps visit something in the mid west on the edge of the Divide.
Boston, Massachusetts would be a fantastc. Lots of American history to play around with, lots of english history for that tongue in cheek Fallout is known for, Chinese Subs in the harbour, the CommonWealth, Salem, Mutated Moose and Black Bears (Yao Guai), New England Wasteland, heaps of potential quirky tribal groups.
For DLC you have Amtrak Rails down to Providence or New Haven following messages from the Abbey of the Road, Commonwealth specific DLC or main plot content, etc.
I'd rather see something West Coast again, but New Vegas is my favorite game of all time, so yeah.
East Coast has cities n' ****, yeah.
But the West Coast has got the natural beauty and weird ****. And there is so much lore pacjed into the west coast they could touch on. Also, if Skyrim is any good indication of anything, Bethesda has got natural beauty down pat, so any of the National Parks could be made to look amazing.
I'd like to see Salt Lake City.
The BoS is taking shelter amongst the ruins of the city, deep in a bunker in the middle of them. A Vault. They are the last of the Brotherhood, but they aren't the Brotherhood we know. They are backed into a corner, with two nations hunting them down. Like a snarling animal, they are willing to do whatever it takes to survive... and they've found something in that vault that might just grant them survival.
To the southeast of the city ruins lay the remains of New Canaan, and the remains of what once was a thriving agricultural civilization. Covered in salt, by order of Salt Upon Wounds.
The White legs now make their base here, but the Dead Horses and Sorrows hunt them down.
The flats are contended by the remnants of the White Legs, the 80s Gang, the Dead Horses and other tribal/raider forces. Perhaps some of them could know how to fix up cars/buggies for some death-derby combat out on the vast expanse of salt? The Legion makes a small presence here, mostly trying to recruit some tribes they find interesting.
The lake between the flats and city is almost completely dried up with only puddles remaining, but otherwise a complete radioactive waste. Some mutated creatures make their home here.
The NCR has expeditionary forces to the southwest of the region. After the battle of the Dam, the NCR wisened up and became much more militaristic and aggressive. Their troops are now better outfitted, and better trained than ever before. The Rangers in particular are a force to be reckoned with. Even Legionaries fear them now.
Officially, the NCR is there as an expeditionary force and is trying to extend trade routes as far as the can. Unofficially, they are hunting the remnants of the BoS.
The Legion has mountain camps to the east of the city. They are collecting slaves from the area, hunting the BoS, and clashing a bit with the NCR. They are generally just doing standard Legion activity.
