Lol it's just getting a bit silly, golden maniacs dropping little brown pads everywhere and killing proto suits for free without skill, at no cost to themselves. Swap it out to a rep tool or uplink or something else!!!! No need for remotes on an assault, just seen a guy go 25-16... He killed 25 people for free while my caring about losing his own suits. It's just a broken tactic now that arises out of desperation, it's bad enough that smart deploy tends to put you in little boxes or rooms :L

Ok so the other apex suits have equipment that is comparatively trashy compared to proto gear, for example the caldari nanohive and scanner aren't much use at all... In comparison this standard re on the apex nomad is just as effective at killing as any other re, I propose an re where you only have one to start but can stock 2 with nanohives. This would atleast prevent the spawn and die suicide bombers which are frankly just absurd lol

A good tanker can shoot down any such attempt though, just shooting the res on the front is even enough to counter, the whole point with infantry is that the detonation time is not such to warrant any escape for most suits. Atleast with vehicles you can maneuver and attack the incoming jlav

The Apex nomad assault is well tanked and quite speedy. The issue is that this guy doesn't care if he dies 20 times, as long as he takes 40 people wit him in easy 1 shot kill spam and die tactics. At times you are stuck spawning in a room due to smart deploy or uplinks, in such a case, these guys can just keep spawning jumping in and chucking res, often at long distances like 15 m, there is no time to react as even if you move the re isn't where the animation shows, and the range for explosion is larger than one can cover before it primes

Yes I have. All you do is shoot at the front of the incoming lav and it blows up into a fire ball. If you reverse then the acceleration means the lav doesn't even explode when it hits you, just drives along or bounces off. To properly detonate a jlav the tanks momentum needs to oppose that of the lav, this can happen when a tanker reversed into lav, drives straight into one or hits one sideways. Don't exaggerate difficulty, it's detrimental to the process I tank and have used a jlav too, it's just silly to assume the other hasn't experienced the same
