I wasn't trying to be a ***** but when you go into a ambush OMS do you see everybody just killing right in the middle of the map when you first come into the battle. then when the turrets, and stuff comes dropping down not one or all go to hack them and use them.

Its rare that a turret is in a good place to fight with. In my opinion, oms is a mix game type infantry and vehicles.

So what's the problem with that?

Skirmish is to get all the points A, B, C, D ect not just one point if you want to do that go into Domination and let people have fun playing skirmish the right way.

It's called point defense. You probably have a hard time keeping points don't you?

Yes your right. but when you get into the battle what do you see your team side is 0 when you first come into battle right? is that why people are getting mad about coming into a battle when it's finish.

Ambush: normal fights with only dropsuits. simple.

Ambush OMS: fights on tanks/aircrafts/cars and turrets meaning to have fights only using them.

So if people want to fight only normal go do ambush, if anyone want to fight with something going BOOM! Fireworks! play OMS. Cause OMS is not only killing dropsuits well it is but we need to have alittle fun with this game just to get more WP and stuff.

That's because half the team ignores them... If the team repositioned themselves, anywhere can be a good location... Huddle round those turrets people, they'll save your life.

Ambush and Ambush OMS are no longer separate gamemodes. Back in the old days, when the Battle Finder screen was very different, we had 4 types. Skirmish, Ambush, Domination and Ambush OMS, in that order.

You cannot select which Ambush you want to play anymore (IIRC the reason CCP merged the queues was due to a lack of players to fill the matchmaker in either queue), so you just have to get on with it, and most, like myself, will stomp either as to us these days, its just Ambush.

Ambush - 50 Clones, 0 Vehicles, 0 Installations.
Ambush OMS - 80 Clones, 2 Vehicles, ~5 Installations.

Originally OMS had 6 Vehicles, but 1.7 Tanks changed that to 2.


Regarding your point about Skirmish and Dominations points, if one person wants to hold one point, let them. They're the one losing out on more WP/ISK/SP, but they benefit you in a Skirmish as that's potentially - providing they're not a noob - a point that your team will hold for the rest of the game, allowing you to win easier.

Domination is just Ambush with 1 point to be honest.
