If you are like me you have received lots of very useful AUR gear from strongboxes since the update (thanks CCP) but are unintentionally losing AUR. Quick restocks in battle lead to AUR spent on plates and weapons that it was just not meant to be spent on when restocking suits which you have modified to use these drops.
Many of you will not be able to use this method because you have a lot of fittings already but hopefully this will save some of you a bit of AUR while still allowing you to take advantage of the great strongbox drops
Find your fittings that you can replace the most items on them with AUR items from strongboxes. DO NOT EDIT THESE YET
Copy your fitting and replace AUR items from strong boxes
Rename the copies and prefix them with AUR-
This will put them at the top of the list for easy access to these cheaper fittings
Its simple and stupid but hopefully it will save some of you a little bit of AUR in your wallet.
@CCP
I really think you should give us the option to trade the received AUR variants for ISK variants to prevent this from being an issue. It has the potential to either make people grow annoyed with strongboxes as it is just a hassle to use the gear or just have no desire to keep AUR in their wallet thus reducing impulse spending. |

I would like an ability to toggle AUR restocks.
Also to be able to restock the rest of a fitting when you have officer gear on it.

Being able to exclude items from the full fitting would be nice. |

They should rework their fitting organisation so that when you have 5 variants of the same suit (like Quafe ck.0, neo ck.0, normal ck.0, State ck.0, whatever ck.0) you can chose which one to consume instead of having to make a whole new suit everytime.
It could also switch from one to another automatically when one's down to 0. If so, when you'll restock, only the ISK version should be restocked to avoid AUR loss. Same with weapons and modules^^
Rise? That's what they used to call me. Sequal Rise. That was my name.
Now I come Back to you, at the turn of the tide.

yup would be nice. or at least the ability to just change the suit to another of the same type so when you move the selection circle to the suit at the top it only brings up the variations of the same suit as you mentioned, so if i had a sentinel ck0 i could choose any other sentinel ck0
Never argue with an idiot. they bring you down to their level and beat you through experience

Yea, I think they knew that would happen and that is why they did it that way. They sure as hell got some accidental aur purchases from me that way. Luckily I caught myself in time and was pissed enough to sell off all aur items whether I used them or not.
I'm not hurting for isk in any way so I gladly spend the full isk amount on my items. Good one though CCP. Very New Eden of you. |
