Sorry but this is a good idea regardless of whether or not you yourself benefit from it. It sucks that many players live outside of this "FW Timezone" caused by a lack of players, however the way I see it, if we make the game modes worth playing (including FW) than we stand a much better chance of keeping any new players that come along (either on their own or due to any future additions to the game). There's really no point in trying to improve the player count when there aren't any game modes worth playing, but if people had incentive to actually play then you would most likely see increased times in which you can get into FW matches. But the idea only benefits them in game and for those who mostly choose to stomp in Gallente and Minmatar. Amarr and Caldari will not profit that much because they do not win that much. It doesn't actively get players into the mode. If they allowed games to start at 8v8 over 1 point or an ambush then FW would start earlier, let in squads of 12 or more so entire corps can play would also help booster numbers from EU corps, let the NPC corps from EVE auto generate open contracts for heavily plexed systems so its more active all around the clock but also strengthens the EVE/DUST link. These are the kinds of ideas and mechanisms we need to make FW more attractive overall from other modes.
It may help you lazy squids and pampered golden shower boys to get off your arses and band together to try and win. Also people who enlist can choose to squad with other enlisted players, cutting down on awoxing and tk scrubs.

Hell Yea you dudes have some great ideas here!
Also I think there should be a minimum sp requirement before you can play FW lets face it, it's boring as hell when you are beating on newbs and its frustrating as well when they are on your side and your trying to win.
That and,
Give out some sort of award for leveling up like 100 dropsuits or something....

You should have to align yourself to a faction and then you receive daily missions that are specific to faction warfare.
They would be similar to the missions we already have except they give out faction specific gear, strongbox keys, LP, ISK, and SP. |
