MinAss with shotguns are no different than shotgun scouts. Except for the fact that a MinAss can have near same speed and tank more.
MinAss needs a slot layout change. To disincourage dual tanking like they are now.

It's easy to get a min assault with a sprint speed of 9.5+ while still maintaining decent tank (700 eHP+), even if you run a complex damp on it (dB=30...so basically the native profile of a scout). A scout suit with similar profile has about 2/3 the HP. With the good stamina regen, you can even use it as a poor man's speed start fit that is more capable of defending itself once you run in.

It's sad. I take out my Min Scout 3 and CRG-3 shotgun and do better with a std assault and a std shotgun

Seems like running the fit without at least a kincat and 2 damps would be unwise. I'd probably throw on a reactive plate for a buffer and some reps.

Exacta. If you use pure tank with a shotgun, you won't be effective...

Its tough to try and discourage it...
Because that's what the suit was intended to do, be versatile.
Only thing balancing it is that the scout can get the lowest profiles easier and the highest scans easier, making them better at specialization. Also, if people cry about the minsault with snotty being OP, I will die of brain damage because it would mean that the cloak wasn't what made the scout OP... It was suit versatility.

I originally wanted a 4/3, then CCP decided to give me another Low.
Not complaining. I personally love the suits versatility. I have one version for speed and regen, the other for speed and damage.
One runs fast and hits like a truck, the other is a fantastic skirmishing suit.
Beauty of the Minmatar, you don't really know what to prepare for.

When sp respecs came out for aur i was maxed in min suits thought they we bad 12 respecs later ive finally realized i should have never left min and just adapted with the current styles of play others have buying the $100 pack on the 27 or 28 buying my last respec going back to the minosuruas ways and a **** ton of keys.
I was min before min was the ****. |
