Ok. Faction warfare is the primary EVE/DUST link right now.
Unfortunately it's completely random and very hard to coordinate With capsuleers.
So for Faction Warfare Instead of doing short matched like pubs, make each district battle static. The districts open at the beginning of the day according to which systems EVEside Faction warfare was most active in.
Let the battles run constant and when a person wants to leave they can queue the EoM screen, collect theirbrewards and head out. When one drops out the district opens on the Faction War menu with the number of slots open. Players may attempt to queue directly into a known match or choose random placement in an active warzone.
Objective: Capture and Hold. The MCCs aren't being destroyed, both empires at war have effectively unlimited resources. No clone counts, just an unending battle to actively control the district.
When a team holds more than 50% of the planetary defense nodes, the district flips to that faction. Districts with 50/50 control are listed "contested" and these designations color the results.
Holding one hack point for an hour is approximately worth a "win" in the loyalty ranks, with LP/standing increases added per minute if there is a hack point controlled by the friendly faction.
CONCORD has allowed a bounty placed by the empires upon enemy soldiers, offering a small amount of ISK for each clone terminated or vehicle destroyed.
Overall effect? The more hack points you control the faster you earn LP/Standings.
EVE side benefit: Local faction militia andparticipating mercs receive additional LP per district controlled during the day, calculated at downtime. Militia players conducting planetary interaction will gain bonuses to output for each district in system under friendly control. Manufacturing jobs in the system can be accelerated for militia members in that system according to how many districts are controlled.
Militias who do not control districts will simply receive no additional benefit over normal activity. The idea is to reward them for supporting planetary control, not penalizing their normal activities.
Each district held should, rather than contributing a flat rate to local sov, provide a bonus to the allied faction to "flip" the system. So instead of the single planet in a system being 40% control, it can be +40% to flipping/consolidating.
Faction warfare has the potential to be the main veteran activity center. Just needs to be able to coordinate and pay well.
