Seems like in the second clip he had Bastion module running to be able to take down one of the ships but that must have been after it had fired its Doomsday weapon. While the Drifter's do have significantly more developed technologies the fact still remains that the Golden Fleet is more or less the most powerful Empire Fleet that has existed to this date. If we cannot hold them at bay then no other force in the cluster is likely to have the power to do so.
