I can confirm this report. There's little point in poking these craft in the eye currently, but we anticipate a greater importance will be placed on adequately combating these threats in the future. For now all we can hope to do is organize, train, and equip multiple quick reaction forces that are specialized in this form of combat.
I wish I new that bit about ECM, the Drake was loaded with ECM drones but I didn't bother launching them in caseI needed to warp out. Shows how well that worked.

That's exactly what Mobius was thinking about! They don't do anything, no ewar, no tackling, no disruption, just flat out damage. Furthermore, it seems they prioritize support craft over combat ships. It's as if they know that they're at a disadvantage and seek to level the playing field. It's starting to make more and more sense that electronic support might be our greatest asset against these guys.

If the results of the conflict at Pike's Landing showed us anything it is that it takes a combined fleet of the Ishukone Megacorporation, the Federation, and Mordu's legion to present a hindrance to a detechment of the Golden Fleet. Yeah, not a full force. Of the Amarrian Golden Fleet, more like. How do you explain the Pike's Landing incident then? Last I hear, it took the Matari AND the Fed AND Mordu's Legion AND Ishukone's Fleet to present a roadblock for a small detachment of the Golden Fleet for whatever it was they were trying to achieve there.
When this man give the Amarr credit for anything you know he means it. While the Drifter's do have significantly more developed technologies the fact still remains that the Golden Fleet is more or less the most powerful Empire Fleet that has existed to this date. If we cannot hold them at bay then no other force in the cluster is likely to have the power to do so. Personally I would rather work with the other Empires if it means protecting the Amarrian people both present and future. If you seriously think the Golden Fleet is built for anything more than dying en masse then you need to reassess your understanding of naval warfare. That cute little fireworks display that your empress pulled out of her ass against the republic fleet? Barely holds a candle to what each of these drifter battleships are individually equipped with. I've seen drifter warfare firsthand, and even a single ship is fully capable of decimating an organized capsuleer fleet.
If you think Pike's Landing somehow justifies the ability of the Amarr, well that's just embarrassing. Pike's Landing wasn't just a case of too many cooks in the kitchen, it nearly drove the Imperial Navy into a miniature civil war. The chaos of the situation made adequate response by any faction impossible, and you simply can't use it as any sort of way to justify formal warfare with Jovian technology for a number of reasons.
Forces were literally massed around the planet and were prepared to raze that rock into nothing but a ball of glass. The responding Republic forces were allocated from an already hard-pressed fleet, it's amazing the Minimatar were able to organize a response at all much less hold their ground against an Avatar-class titan. Every Amarr ship lost to that pathetic quick reaction force should be an insult.
The Federation attempted (and failed) to ensure their assault against Pike's landing was covert as a gambit of the Rodin administration to steal a piece of military technology. No surprise that they failed miserably and were just barely able to work out a deal with Ishukone and Mordu's Legion before they were totally wiped out.
The Legion would have been entirely capable of securing Pike's Landing themselves, were the space around the planet not clogged with incompetent Matari dreadnoughts. Even after lossing most of their forces after the initial jump in, rumor still goes around that one team of legionaries managed to hit the ground and cause massive casualities on the local Paladins.
Which brings us to Ishukone... Ohhhhhhhhhh Ishukone. Where to even begin. They were but one corperation out of the entire Caldari State, attempting to organize the coup d'etat by making a mad dash to the Templars and completely ignoring Amarr Forces that surrounded the planet.
My point is, the Golden Fleet is still as incompetent as the day they went to war against the Jove. And in true imperial fashion they show almost an offensive adamance to ignore history while dooming themselves to repeat it. The Amarr will fail.

Plus if this actually worked we would be so loved by the EvE pilots. CRUs are not to expensive so this will work. Drown them in a sea of corpses. I like it. Double post, but point out how bad of an idea this is will be worth it.
You know some think that a single Drifter ship is only manned by a handful of personnel and the rest is all automated? Why don't we just invade a drone hive? Without a flashlight? It'd be about as fun and only slightly less difficult.
