Many questions here. Would be nice if you could stop and answer them when you have the time.

 1) Will SKINs take away our BPOs?
I am more than okay if BPOs are taking away from our assests and in replacement, we get the SKIN of said BPO for free. But some people bought those BPOs to have never ending suits.

 2) Will this apply to guns as well?

 3) Will all colored dropsuits be dropped into SKINs? Like for example the Rattati suit and FoxFour suit. Will they stop existing and their color patterns be turned into SKINs?

 4) Most importantly. Can we expect SKINs to become a real thing in the future?

Your time will be much appreciated.

WHAT ABOUT SKIN CUSTOMIZATIONS Rattati wants to add a SKIN slot to all dropsuit and delete some dropsuits from the game, but in return we get to customize our dropsuits with SKINs.

This will not only help game performance but will also give a level of personalization to the game.

Well I'm obviously not Rattati, but speaking to the CPM, they've basically said that if the whole Skins thing actually works out, what you'll likely see is your BPO being 'split' you'll maintain your BPO suit but it will just be a generic color. You'll then get a skin of the original BPO which you can then apply to the BPO, or to other compatible suits.

So for example my Sever Logistics Suit. I'll get a Plain Color Minmatar Logistics BPO, and then I'll get an orange camo 'Sever' skin which I can use on any compatible suit.

 Thanks for the answer Pokey!

 Now one last question.
Will that compatible suit means, for example, a medium frame suit? Or a suit within the same class.
Let's say my 'FoxFour' suit got dismantled and turned into a Skin. But the FoxFour suit is an Assault class suit. Does that mean I can only apply that Skin only on my Assaults of same race, or any given medium frame?

Would we have to buy the skins and dropsuits separately or will the dropsuit already have the skin equipped?

I don't mind tho. Spending real money for in-game skins and customizations is the most famous way and better way for a F2P game to make money (just look at TF2. You have to buy hats with real money but nobody complains. And some hats are awesome looking)

I have spent very little on this game but skins might actually convince me to spend a little more. This would pull a lot of people to spend even more money on the game. I don't know why CCP never thought of this during the launch of Uprising.

That I cannot say, but I hope it's not too restrictive.

No problem. Just note that none of this is actually confirmed, just what I've heard talking to the CPM but understand that the final result may not be the same, though I would be extremely surprised if it was.

The official release said the bpo would remain as a generic, we'll say Commando C-1, but the quafe skin would go into your inventory As a separate item to apply to the suit.

Then we can enjoy intern labor cranking out garish suit patterns for us to sperg over. Hopefully CCP will not price skins the way they do BPOs because that would kill them dead.

Wow, that is an ingenious idea. +1 for him.

It is way too impractical to create a new fitting from scratch just for different look, especially if you have only few of those.

They might split those as well. You may get your BPO pre-fit APEX, and then that unique APEX skin which can be applied to compatible suits.

Hmmm, doesn't that mean it would maybe be worth, and I mean MAYBE, 10000 aurum since it is not a bpo anymore. I better get refunded or something.
