It would be really cool if there were a function to kick everybody out of your vehicle (excluding yourself). It could be located in the module selector's top ring. Great for when you are in a turret and somebody decides to hop in the driver seat and take off.
Another cool vehicle function would be a lock/unlock that could also be easily accessed from the module wheel. Locked vehicles could revert to unlocked when the pilot dies outside of the vehicle. Even if the lock only applied to the drivers seat, it would still be awesome.
Just think about it, please. |

I guess I should ustfse and take a look at those past threads. I can't think of any rational reason why kicks and locks shouldn't be implemented. |

I see that as much less of a problem than having your vehicle taken, but you are right, it would be trading one problem for another. Fortunately, the solution is simple: disabled vehicle kick in the redlines.

How exactly does that address the specific issue that I mentioned previously, in which people can hijack your lav while you are in the turret? |

Ha, I've launched myself into the redline that way in the past. So, vehicle kick would have to be disabled within 50m of the redline or something. Really tho, you shouldn't be getting into dropships with strangers anyway, no matter how much candy they say they have. |

Yeah, I see that. Perhaps a vehicle kick function wouldn't be relevant to dropships anyway? When is a dropship pilot ever going to be in a turret seat instead of flying? Parking one of those things to fire a turret is just begging for four swarm volleys or a few forge blasts. |

I can already tell that this is never going to happen.
