well seeing as a buddy used his alt with 5.6m sp and was considered a vet and got no SPs the other day and Bonecollector in 2nd place has 40m sp and i have 85m sp its safe to say that the rest of our team are probably considered vets meaning a high chance they didn't get their SP.
it was a complete stomp. only reason i got my points is through being a logi and getting a few uplink spawns and Bone got a few kills in his heavy. rest the time we just got s**t on hard lol

Actually, a vet is anyone who apparently graduated from academy. My alt at 750k sp got hit by it. Got thrown into a match wayyyy too late on, got a kill and three assists, them the match ended. 125wp, no sp.

At the end of the day I am getting more SP on average so I can deal with the WP minimum
I cannot see how it discourages AFKing though, you still get ISK and complete missions like "win 5 battles" if you AFK all day.
Getting thrown into a protostomp late is the only focuses my mind more than a bitter FW struggle that is clearly going to be close, If there is a fire in my house at the same time they will find my body with a burnt controller in its hand. Sure I will be dead but at least I got 150WP.

thats what i was thinking too but had no way of checking it. minimum sp i knew was MM's at 5.6. i think 5msp to be classed as a vet is acceptable. that'd give you at least lv3/4 in CPU/PG skills, one proto suit and a proto weapon.

It's probably a horribly bugged system, like almost everything else from Warlords
I went 0wp earlier, INB4 GITGUD WITH EXPLANATION, because the match I got thrown into ended before I'd even hit the ground from the MCC. How am I supposed to get wp in that amount of freefall time?

Ambush is the one game mode that can, occasionally, lead to these types of scores.
FWIW, I think the minimum score to gain SP should be lower for Ambush than Dom or Skirm -- and if Leadfoot ruled the world, a person with a number of deaths would also score SP, something like this:
Less than 1M SP -- always gets SP.
From 1m to 10m SP -- gets SP if they score more than 100WP -or- die more than five times.
More than 10m SP -- gets SP if they score more than 150WP -or- die more than seven times. |

Ambs shouldn't have a restriction tbh. not the most practical to AFK in due to the spawnign and sometimes the games over so quickly you don't have chance t0 earn WPs even if you're on the winning team

Actually becuz they are so fast, wouldn't it made more sense to AFK them before the changes? The ratio of matches per hour would be more = more ISK/Sp per hour .

I believe the only Ambush mode that should be exempt from the WP should be the 50 clone match. The 80 clone can last longer. It is not hard to throw down links or grab a cheap repper. Even if you are losing. |
