Moment ago:
Saga-II for my squad to blitz objectives was stolen while hacking point.
Saga-II was replaced by a militia LAV.
Afterwards, I witness the Saga-II suicide crashing onto neatly parked LAV blowing them both.
Ahh the inertial dampeners are back to normal! ^ ^

I lost 600k because someone was feeling like a troll. This is why we need vehicle locks. I don't care what Rattati says about "teams should share assets" no. This has happened to me way too many times. This is not sharing. That is sabotage.
I say that is not even sabotage: that is griefing.
One sided griefing with no mechanic of supposed payback.
No consequence of actions - what New Eden is supposed to be about.

True. Not enought that you are vulnerable and totally defenseless to enemy fire while dropping OB - you can be robbed at the same time.

But then again people will always blame the tankers "for not contributing for the team" like
- Hacking
- Killing infantry
- clearing links
- Giving hives
- Setting links
- Setting proxies
- Killing hovering DSs
BUT THIS DISCUSSION IS NOT THE POINT OF THE THREAD to discuss in what cases is what action more beneficial.
This thread merely lists examples and stories of when vehicle locks would've been handy..

Once more , the same old thing.
I have a personal LAV for partial cover in totally open ground, and a blue dot runs to and instantly hops onto the driver's seat. Not even giving chance for original owner to be the driver.
Seriously. We really need vehicle locks.
