I'm sure there is at least one millionaire that plays dust. (You know who you are.)
If CCP could give us a ballpark number we can keep this terribly wonderful game growing on the next gen.
That or least crowdsource it.
What is you guesstimate cost of porting the game to the ps4 my dust bunnies(or a certain dust rat)?

I'm not sure it's possible. Currently Dust is molded onto the cell processor on a ridiculously over medium defied U3 engine. For all the time and money it would take to port I'm pretty sure that making a new game would be a better use of assets.

Its called Legion. And its coming out for PC. There is no real "future" of dust. This is a beta for legion. If you have proof other wise please please tell me, I've been playing for 2 1/2 years and I love this game but it has a finite end that will not transcend to other platforms. Notice the lack of word from CCP about it? Has any one heard any thing diffrently?

I would love this for the PS4... you know the next gen platform that just about everyone is building for now.
Heck, I don't even use my PS3 anymore and all the games I used to play on the PS3 are for the most part on the PS4 now. Why should I have to go back and use outdated technology (PS3) just to play :/
Guess I will continue *not* playing Dust :/ I'm not gonna hook up my old hardware just to play one game even if its good and I used to love playing it. |

They will most likely port it to PS4 similarly to what Gaijin did with War Thunder.

If there is not stable core and all mechanics/item flawlessly implemented/balanced in dust.
I cant care less for something what i saw just in picture/1video named like project legion.
Im maybe old school, but im more for finishing dust and leave legion for later.
I dont care about new graphics or technologies, i like fun with friends.
And right now i have fun here.

No it doesn't? Fanfest is in a month and the number of people still allocated to Dust development is still like 3-4 max. Either they've A. Fired everyone at the Shanghai office B. Reallocated the majority of resources to a new game or C. Are working on Legion.
That we've heard nothing about the game since its original announcement doesn't come off as too surprising given the push we've seen to more actively monetize Dust (who would want to keep playing Dust while being bombarded with Legion advertising left and right?) and how early a state the Legion demo originally was (they'd hammered out that Alpha in a time span of months and it hadn't even been greenlit at the time).
Now if Fanfest 2015 rolls around and we STILL haven't heard rumblings from Legion then the argument that Legion no longer exists will carry more water.

Well, I will be the pessimistic joker. "It would cost and take 'effort', meaning it is unlikely to happen."
Though I think DUST is more likely to go to the PC as Legion than to the PS4 so CCP can start to double dip with their customer/playerbase, whether or not either will happen is up in the air. DUST was a costly project. Throwing money into the PS4 or PC version to "try again" is probably something that has shareholders a little concerned about.

They already have a game coming out for PS4 that's better, it's called E.V.E Valkyrie. Dogfights in space, real dogfights.
