Just finished melting the other team with one of them, it was shooting 3x faster than a tank turret with pin point accuracy at 75+ meters.
Please, take a look at them.

Some appear to be of the opinion that this is by design. I don't agree. |

I want to know if the great unwashed, having never used a tank themselves, think the tank blaster turret has the same dispersion as the installation and therefore think we're just a crap shot

They fire at the same rate, but they have 0 dispersion. Logical though, they're situated on a firm base, so the muzzle doesn't shake and is therefore extremely accurate.

IDK, maybe it was bugged, but that thing was shooting 3x faster than any tank blaster turret.
The only time i remeber a blaster firing so fast, was when damage mods where in lows and also buff the ROF.

A proper user of the installation will be a real threat to the enemy; that's what the blaster installation should be. Not a tickle-me-Elmo like today's blaster HAVs.

I disagree, no reason anyone should have a pinpoint accurate no-skill crutch just because they are in a specific location, even more so when its free to them.
Large Blasters were nerfed for a reason. |

Large Blasters were nerfed for a reason. Yeah because people were idiots who opted to stand still when I was pegging them from 200m......

at 200m if they couldnt get to cover thats their problem. at 50m, the person you killed had no chance outside of you having a bad aim day and being near cover.
end result is that person lost a suit to a flat-out bullshit weapon to begin with - and im just going to say again that there was a reason large blasters got nerfed. That reason was not so people could camp blaster installations.
Believe me, i have camped blaster installations. It is easily as imbalanced as the old large blasters if not more, and the fact that i get a super-gun just because i happened to hack that one thing 150m away from the objective feels cheesy. |

Large Blaster Turrets are fine as is, unlike tanks, they cant move forward to make the bullet spread less of a problem.
If you really have a problem with them, just blow them up, it doesn't take that much time. |

Blaster turrets are not ok as is. If a tank blaster can't hit a heavy easily at all holding down the trigger 25 meters away, then the installation should be the same. It not only has practically no dispersion, but it's AI is stupidly OP. They will target you almost immediately from sometimes rediculous ranges and are deadly to vehicles cause of this. They are the new OP railgun AI which by the way never fires at anything. Missile is te only turret and AI tha is reasonable. Both rail and blaster need to be worked on yet.

I miss having my own skill dictate whether or not I hit my target rather than pure luck.

Don't agree on AI part, at least when i'm on a tank, turrets are pretty stupid now. When i fly it's different, they seem to like firing at me.
