I was just testing some fits and flyby tactics in ambush against an AV nest of 3 to 4 swarms and 2 forge guns, so I was doing strafing runs with a 2 hardener python, standard missiles.
I run away after getting blapped by all sorte of ****, swarm launcher sound everywhere. My shields go down, I take more hull damage, but I live. Im flying, committing the cardinal sin of flying straight forward...BOOM...
I stay in the ship as I normally do....

I definitely didnt travel 170 meters after being hit, I was pretty close to the ground. If something else had hit me, I imagine credit would have went to them, since they added damage last. I only had about 1/3 armor

470 meters... Seems longer than anything should travel, unless we get more open maps... I could see 1 guy holding off all the vehicles with that kind of range.
On the other hand...
I love forge guns. In an ambush earlier a HMG jumped out his tank and chased a blue. I thought for second, while charging the breach forge, about going for the tank. I was at best 40 meters from the action unfolding, sadly blue was dead before I had it fully charged, but as the HMG ran back towards his tank I decided I'd take him instead.
Poor fat guy, he got blapped... Took 4 shots to bring down his tank though, some well stacked shields. |
