It's dropping fools. The hit detection issues seem to have overlooked the magsec.

When I used the Megsec smg when 1.8 arrived. It was the crappiest smg of all time. Even now that crappy gun still sucks.
MAG Raven vet 7 times. Favorite weapon F90 and Highest Kills 78 and 23 deaths.

Recently used the Magsec with some conviction.
I don't find it to be terrible
I was surprised by how accurate I was with it. I usually avoid full auto style weapons because I tend to go all spastic and shoot everywhere but my targetGǪ Not the case with the Magsec. Dispersion was great, RoF worked for me, and I could chew down Sentinels and armour suits at a really good rate.

Took it to Proficiency 3 on release day. Played with it for a couple of days. Put it down shortly after and never picked it up again. |

Only now do people realize there's a Magsec needing fixing. And I had it in my sig for half a year. 
Please buff my Magsex. It doesn't hit hard enough...

It's a rather good weapon. Extremely accurate, and for slightly less damage than the SMG, it has notably more range. I have proficiency 5, and I murder people with it. If it had the bolt pistol optic, it'd be perfect. Not nearly as bad as people say.

Boundless Breach SMG: 383.71
Ishukone Assault SMG: 380.2
Six Kin SMG: 385.00
Negligibly less damage, but way more range, and the hipfire is dead accurate. Love running at people, and hitting them in the head repeatedly with the hipfire, or using it at 50+ meters with good effect. It's a good gun, it's just not popular.
