ok so heres how it works.
Every uplink has a spawn timer and ever spawnable location (base/CRU) hass a base 10 second spawn)
when you die but arnt cloned that timer stats ticking down immediatly after death down to a minimum of 3 seconds, that 3 seconds starts counting down once you chose your spawn location and start to spawn.
when you die and your clone is terminated that timer does not start ticking down untill you select your spawwn location and begin your spawn.
tested and proven many many times over, this is why if you have the freedom to you always terminate the clones with extreme prejudice.
also note that anything that does overkill damage (sniper headshots, forge guns, railguns, and all explosive weapons) immediatly terminates the clone on death.

thanks for the answer/s guys. but that sentence is a bit confusing, u mean it starts at 10 and ticks down to 3? do i interupt it and get, lets say 5sec, if i respawn too early?
spawn timer is in 2 sections
seconds 10-3 start counting once you die, canceling spawn does not reset this timer, it continues counting down.
seconds 3-0 start counting once you select your spawn location, canceling spawn resets this timeer.
