I feel that the moment any vehicle enters the max range on your radar, it should show up, regardless of passive scan profile, or whether you're on foot or in a vehicle. Non stealth oriented vehicles have no reason to ever be hidden from radar. This would help AV locate and track vehicles, as well as help HAVs and Dropships avoid suicide vehicles, without actually nerfing said suicide vehicles.

Vehicles should light up like a christmas tree all the way out to 120

I'm not really into that kind of thing to be honest auto-scanning vehicles kinda sounds like a cop out for not wanting to have to bother looking.

I'm not inclined to agree that this is a good idea especially when there are not stealth oriented vehicles in the game or planned, moreover it artificially breaks down the need to ambush other vehicles since you already know they are there.

Half of my strategies when tanking involve ambushing, flanking, or hitting the rear armour of enemy tanks. Remove that and half the tactics of being in a vehicle goes out the window as you are perma scanned.

If you are looking for a tank, open the map. They show up very easily on the map unless hiding under structures.

Well as a DS you really cant look for suicide DSs most of the time, thanks to the ship taking up most of your view space, and the enemy being able to be almost anywhere in a 360 degree radius, depending on height.

I just feel like vehicles have no business sneaking up on anything unless theyre a stealth variant, and this change would definitely help tanks better respond to JLAVs

And to the above poster, kinda hard to look at the map while flying haha

It definitely doesn't work while piloting a vehicle, and sometimes I don't even see it while being a scout of all things >.>
