So I've been out of the PC thing for a LONG time now. Did one last night, and was incredibly disappointed. Lag was so terrible for me that I physically couldn't do anything for much of the map. Started out great then just went to total ****. Lost a few tanks to it and really failed my team. And that's not something I often do in PC or Pubs.
Is this a common experience among PC players still? I mean I'm used to lag but I've never seen lag this bad in a match. It was bad to the point that they were better off getting a new player in and booting me.
So tell me, how can I overcome this? Tips and tricks

Reset your ps3 before match, delete all psn mail, limit how many psn friends you have, close all unnecessary chat channels, don't play against Asians our Europeans and hope for the best.

Oo, I am maxed on friends from playing destiny. That could very well be severely bogging me down.

Yeah, I really need an SSD, or just a new HD in general would help. I've look at the statistical differences of an SSD to the HDD and the results are huge. Worth the investment when I decide to do this, for ALL games PS3.

Lag in the Gal Facility has gotten worse with the warlord update. I dont know how but it did.

I'm surprised latency in planetary conquest isn't as big of an issue as weapon balancing or content in CCP's eyes.
My corporation won't even invest in a district or clone pack currently because of it and I'm sure other corporation's are making the same decision as well.
This grand vision of a vast mmo fps won't be realized with laggy buggy **** frame rate and players with a ping more than 9000.
I won't name any names out of consideration of fellow mercenaries but many of Dust514's "Elite" players seem to be not where you think they are in game.
Doesn't matter which platform CCP is using currently with Legion and Valkyrie both will inherent the same problems Dust514 has if they go unheeded.  |
