My PS3 is loaded down with all kinds of emails, contacts, junk, games, movies, pictures, videos, profiles and themes lol
My Dust 514 is loaded down with endless amounts of contacts, items, channels and lots of other misc garbage
Maybe that's why I shoot shoot shoot and no one dies and I get killed in 0.02 seconds!? |

For me, the biggest change to my in-game performance came when I reduced display lag (removing a preamp, changing TV to game mode then eventually replacing the TV with a 2ms gaming display).
The other tips mentioned above certainly helped, but display/input lag was the real culprit for me. Do you think that this latency from the TV somehow puts more stress on the PS3? I run though an AverTV capture card which I feel like is actually reducing the load on the PS3. I find myself in situations where other people are getting lag while I have a totally stable frame rate and have been very curious on the possible science behind this. I had always attributed this to my SSD but there were even situations where squad members had SSDs and were still getting lag while I was not.
What is an SSD? I'm not a computer person at all bro |

I'm not a computer person at all bro Solid state drive. Its the newer faster thing that everyone is using in their computers to seriously speed things up. The hard drive in your system currently could be compared to a stack of CDs that have to be read to find the necessary information while an SSD is like a giant block of RAM that allows data to be accessed near instantly by comparison.
Uhhh.....what? Dude, I don't know computers or what a hard drive does or what RAM is or anything like that. I went to Google and typed in SSD...can I hook that to USB on my PS3? How would I use it? I want Dust to be faster
