Considering the OP:
DMG squads tend to be pretty pathetic!
Most of them run proto quite a lot, and rave abut their achievements in pub games, which is really funny, what an achievement to wreck noobs with your proto kit and 50+ mil SP... I'll give you guys a generous pat on your back!
On the other hand, they cry and rage like babies, when they face the newes scrub tactic in pubs, and thats q-synced proto squads on the opposing side... suddenly the opponent is unfair and scrubby and whatever... I'ts a real Kindergarten out there...
This gets so annoying, that I had to guit that ****, I run on my own or with the guys I run since a long time with, or I just don't play , because this game is not good. It just drags you back in for another grind for another skill, but so far it never delivered on the promises that so many of us fell for:
Giant battles (16v16 lol)
loads of different racial vehicles (Amarr Min lolololol)
Loads of different Maps (ok, they try, but where is the min cargo hub?)
PVE (The one thing that would give noobs a chance to grow before they get slaughtered by the lolvets)
And finally a meaningful Dust EVE connection (this will never happen, because you know, EVE players don't want their **** blown up by F2P players)
So what is Dust good for?
The social part is pretty much the only thing, that can be fun at times. It can also be highly annoying and a reason to just switch the game off!
EDIT: And yes that's me shooting a freedom specialist MD at those poor sods trapped in the glitched spot... |

The SP difference is the main problem.
I recently made three brand new toons (moslty to farm components if that's possible in the future). These brand new characters suck to play, even if you run in a vet squad. If you run with your buddies in proto gear, you'll get mostly assists. If you run on your own, you get owned. There are situations where you can get OKish results, but that's very rare.
If you are new to the game, the perspective of getting owned for at least 3-4 month is not very promising at all.
So as long as the noobs don't get their own gamemode, that takes out all characters with more than 5 mil sp, and another one, that takes out all but the ones with 5-10mil sp, we will have no increase in playerbase whatsoever.
It's just no fun at all, to get constantly owned by lolvets, who think that their kdr has anything to do with skill (yes it has, but that's skillpoints bra')! |

No worries, me leaving wasn't about this particular match, it's more a general feeling of wasting too much time on a game that's not very good or fun anymore...
Matchmaking in pubs is fubar'ed so no fun at all, factional can be fun as can PC, but in general the game doesn't give back enough to waste so much time on it. |
