My ps3 is dying. It keeps freezing on me, roughly 4-5 times a day. The other day is messed up so bad that I couldn't turn it off, I had to pull the power cord. I re-frag it at least twice a week. My ps3 is only 5 years old, most people's ps3 is older than that, which makes me wonder how much longer we all can keep this up. Dust514 can't stay on the ps3 forever, not even another year really. I went to my local Best Buy and Walmart the other day. The managers in both stores gave me the same response, "We don't keep those in stock anymore, we haven't sold any in awhile". I found a old Fat Boy at a pawn shop,...but it looked worse than mine.
At this point I have two options: 1. Run my ps3 into the ground, hopefully getting another month out of it, only logging on for a couple hours a day for PC battles. 2. Sell my ps3 for what little money I can get out of it, while it still turns on.
In addition, I have a ps4 now. Dust514 just seems like I'm jumping through hoops to play you. It would be nice to just log onto my ps4 and play Dust, instead of changing systems when playing different games.
Anyway, this is my tribute song to CCP, desperate for answers...I think the song fits the description.

No, it's clean. And I did a system restore. Factory reset, etc. It's literally dying. Motherboard....

But this newer ps3 runs dust so much better. I can actually get into match before a lot of other people. Frame rate seems a bit better also.
Where did you buy yours?

I could buy one online, but I've had so many bad experiences with buying stuff online...honestly don't think it's worth the headache at this point.

Legit...I have one that is in brand new condition, will provide pictures and all. I got it from a girl and her husband who (believe it or not) had Dust 514 on it! Legit...she got rid of it, some rockband games, band hero...everything. Email me if you interested :D
No thanks. Again, I don't like buying used hard-drives/computers, etc. I had a friend buy a used computer once, a couple days later the FBI came knockin on his door, talking about him having stolen material on his computer from hacking into some defense department mainframe.

Don't know. I've checked and can't find any in my area that have them.

EDIT: They only have the 12 giggers though.
I could do this. But I guess I'm just lying to myself. The reality is, I wouldn't have bought one even if they did have them in stock. I don't want to have to pay for another ps3 if I don't have to. I don't want to have to wait til fanfest 3 months from now, just for them to say we are moving to ps4 or PC, after I dropped another $200.00 into a ps3. I'm stuck in a predicament here. The only reason I would buy a ps3 is to play Dust. That's how much your loyal fans love Dust, CCP. You'd figure, you'd give them the courtesy of letting them know before they go and waste their money. I give them hundreds of dollars over the past few years, and they can't even tell me what system the game will be on this year?

I just don't see how they benefit from keeping their fans in the dark. Why waste anyone's time or money, including their own. The sooner the better. I'm sure, I'm not the only one having this problem. What about for those who don't have a PC or ps4 yet? Wouldn't it be best to let these people know, so they can start saving now and be able to hop right into the mix when the transfer takes place?
At Fanfest: 1.CCP announces that Dust will move to ps3, players get mad because they have to buy another ps3. 2.CCP announces that Dust will move to ps4, players get mad because they have to buy a ps4. 3.CCP announces that Dust will move to PC, players get mad because they have to buy a gaming PC. ^All at the drop of a hat, which is the contributing issue in all of these scenarios^
