There's a lot of people who end up with horrible horrible power fantasies. I've interacted with more than a few amarr roleplayers and they tend to be some of the worse ones (everyone is a holder with the biggest holding ever and personal ties to the empress, etc). It reminds me of being fourteen and joining a freeform RP forum and entering the 'tavern' where it had to have been some non-Euclidean extradimensional space because all of the four-hundred special snowflakes there had their own dark shadowed corner where they were alone and brooding.
Yeah I know what you mean about that. I was actually reading the Holder's page on EVElopedia and there are some cool and rather interesting things that one can do with RP from a Holder's perspective and a bit of information when you really dig deep. Which is why I prefer not being "That Holder's Son XYZ" and something more akin to "Ah you haven to be my fourth cousins great great great grand nephew" or some other bullshit since Amarrian nobility extends out to even the fringes of families.
But I may or may not know to whom you are referring...... such laughter ensues.

It reminds me of being fourteen and joining a freeform RP forum and entering the 'tavern' where it had to have been some non-Euclidean extradimensional space because all of the four-hundred special snowflakes there had their own dark shadowed corner where they were alone and brooding. I used to run fairly successful freeform roleplays on a different forum. But, being a writer anyway, could always put the rp back on track should anyone try to derail it in ways that were just downright ridiculous. The point is that without established rules and structure, people tend to be real ****ing idiots about things. I still play and enjoy D&D fairly frequently, but there's always problem players.
Yeah we tried that sort of thing on the old Dark Souls forum and it was damn difficult to explain to people time and time again that while yes Lordran is an interesting place where we time flows oddly that our characters are not chosen undead, we don't have Darksigns, and you cannot exist as a pseudo immortal all knowing multidimensional entity who can simultaneously see the future and affect the past.
And yes MINA this guy did things in the middle of conversations like.
Looks into future..... puppet masters your character twisting their personality so they are inevitably the bad guy..... pulls off amazingly acrobatic and impossibly awesome battle scene countering everything with ease.......BAM ******* rewritten past where your character is dead.
It was awfully infuriating try to establish character personalities and ensuring people understood how awful it was interacting with God Modded characters. Fortunately they all picked up on it really quickly and we had some really nice characters that I think everyone was happy to see used especially in the Community events we hosted and tournaments.

Incest, Pedophilia, Bestiality, Extortion, Murder, Theft, Embezzlement and diminishing the papal office to the point where a person who was later sainted called you 'the devil himself', is not the paragon of what it means to be amarrian. I've met a few 'holders' who think this.
"Player Character Holders" are not to be taken seriously.

The Covenant gear should be amarr (its blood raiders) and i'd liek to see some of those things corrected. i also have the EVE books too. i don't really role play in game but i do liek the history of th eraces and i'd like to see more racial/faction bpos Eve books? As in, novels? Point me in the direction of said literary works of grand pleasure!
Ugh hurray more people get to read Tony Gonzales less than sterling depiction of the Amarr where everyone is a traitor, monster, doesn't have faith, and the ones that do either die or are stripped of it by the end.......
It's like he took that one comment CCP made about the Amarr "Capable of great acts or Good and Evil" and just ignored the first part.

No he pretty much only screams freedom.
It's that Federal Tom (Catmerc) I'm worried about. His nefarious feline agenda's are a concern.

In hind sight I just dip my arm into the Olympic sized swimming pool of tomato sauce that is CCP's lore and wave it around screaming "AMARR, GOD, SLAVES, AMMMMMMMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRR!"

Why would you even suggest that?! . . . Freedom?
Any plot to prey on the indigenous Pukeko's of New Zeland turning them into a new flavour of Meow Mix is in my books nefarious!
