Thinking about replacing my Ds3, and I've read a lot of good stuff about the new dual shock. Just curious if anyone here uses it with the PS3/Dust. |

The sensitivity is... sometimes infuriating. I mash buttons a bit and.when using ds4 I have menus popping up frequently when I don't want them to. It is more comfortable.

I have been using a DS4 with dust for a few months now.
IMO, It is better in every way except battery life. I have had no ingame menu errors or anything (that is a internal error within a faulty controller)
You can only use the DS4 menu button to activate the system, so as mentioned, keep an old DS3 around. |

Yes ds4 ftw.
Sure you cant push the ps button but it is better in the hands vs the cheap and nasty little ds3.

It just feels so much better. I don't know that it plays any different, though I do seem to remember that when I would pivot, I wouldn't get that all or nothing that I got from the DS3, so I really had to move the stick fully to the side to get the speed.

pressing L3/forward to sprint and the shape of the new concaved stick is not comfortable to me
if i had a choice the left stick would be convexed and the right stick/aiming would be concaved |

yea this.. that stupid freakin light gimmick.. drains the battery in about 2 hours.. not even sure wtf it's for.. about as useless as the 6 axis gimmick was when PS3 released.. |

I used to. The controller is way more comfortable ( I have grown-man hands not the pixie-baby hands the DS3 was designed for) though it does take some getting used to. PS button doesn't work (like others have said) and I did find myself needing to plug it into the usb port and keeping it wired because of the short battery life and because it kept "remembering" my PS4 and switching to that if I did inadvertently press that PS button. After the microusb jack got wonky from always being plugged in and having the cord move around I said **** it and went back to the DS3.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll have to pick one up sooner than later, the ps home screen now pops up 1/10 times that I hit the trigger. That must be fun for whoever I was about to kill. |
