We already know the Cal logi is the most underpowered logi in the game. So much so CCP even made the cost of the APEX cal logi cheaper than all the other ones. But besides that i would like to suggest the following:
change loyalty ammo hive into a rep/ammo hive.
give apex cal logi a rep/ammo hive, not quite a k17/d, but something close. hell, they are so gimp give them the k17/d. |

cal logi is underpowered for many reasons, and i'm sure if ccp showed us the numbers on how many people used them they would be shockingly low.
in order to run cal logi at it's max potential you have to do a couple things. 1 is run it proto in order to get the 3 equipment slots. 2 run a cpu upgrade, which makes the 5 highs and 4 lows worthless because ultimately you have the same eHP as everyone else, but with less regen, damp, stam, speed.
because of the cal logi's bonus (which is an awesome one) 2 of your equipment slots will be dedicated to various hives, making you lose out on a needle, uplink, or scanner as the other one should be a repper. problem is there is very few situation where hives will stay out long enough to benefit the team. i would say the best use for a cal logi is just run proto hive in all three slots, drop them then switch out to another cal logi/logi.
because of how easy it is to destroy hives and the other problems stated above, cal logi is the absolute worse logi for PC.

The "kampo" is ok, with max logi skills that basic nanohive holds a fair amount of nanites
It has a rep tool too so a triage hive is meh
All apex have basics and play at that disadvantage compared to isk fits
Chirron- basic scanner
Seraph-basic derplink
Shaman- basic rep
For what slots it has the kampo is a good fit for an apex
But all other apex fits benefit from there bonus in a major way
the cal apex is very lacking. most people run their proto cal logi with multiple hives in order to take advantage of the bonus. there is no reason to get the cal logi apex as it is useless compared with the other 3. to make it more useful a rep/ammo hive (with a 2 - 3 stock) would be great |
