I am not bashing them but this is a serious question.
Why was that Key event even an event? Before all of the CCP fanboi's get upset, I understand that CCP has to generate money to keep the game afloat and to add more content cost money.
But why isn't that key event, just the norm? Completing 8 missions a day should reward with 5 more keys everyday. It doesn't need to be for only 7 days. People are still going to buy keys due to the over abundance of strong boxes they own. Once CCP fixes the contents of the boxes I am sure more people would be willing to buy more.
But we are talking about 3-5 keys per day, everyday for completing the missions. That should be the norm. Not an event that a lot of people were screwed out of due to no fault of their own.
Ideas?

I think having this event as the norm would be too much. But at the same time, having the keys rarely handed without requiring AUR and almost never getting them as salvage is too much to have any patience for. I guess what I'm trying to say here is that there needs to be a better balance between the number of strongboxes and number of keys.
At the very least, CCP Frame pointed out that they are looking into modifying the contents of the boxes so that only high-tier items are rewarded.

Thats why I said 3-5 keys per day after completing the missions. Some people have over 1500 boxes. They are never going to collect enough keys. With some of these savant missions costing Aurum to complete, it is fair that you be rewarded with something that cost Aurum also. Boosters cost more than keys, so they are still coming out ahead.
If they would be willing to do 3-5 keys per day then they could slightly adjust the contents of the boxes but not so much that it would be overkill. |

Somebody affiliated with CCP said somewhere roundabout Idea&Discussion that he/she was not completely opposed to getting a certain low number of keys for winning one or maybe more matches per day.

My only suggestion is just to change the normal key mission requirement to be the "event' Mission requirement.
Aka: Current regular: Complete 10 missions for 1 key New regular: Complete 8 missions for 1 key
This way if a player gets any AUR missions then they can simply avoid them, and still have a chance to pursue a key that day.
For a "free" player (or somebody who doesn't want to have to spend Aur everyday) the chance of getting all 10 missions without any that require AUR to complete can be frustrating RNG. At least with 8 missions to complete the player need not worry about being "cheated out of a key" by getting an AUR mission.
