Please fix this, I bought a couple low-level skills on one character and maxed one skill on another then this system throws me in with veterans and elites..I'm almost instantaneously killed the moment I spawn and one of those characters is wearing Heavy armor..shield is always dead it might aswell be non-existent..I've even been one-hit killed with a knife wearing Heavy, more than once.. |

Consider buying some passive skill boosters and skill into Armor, Shield, Biotic and Core Upgrades to level five first to increase your character's survivability. Improvements to matchmaking might take a while. |

If those boosters cost real money that's out and at 2k Skill points per being rekt each game how am I ever going to upgrade anything period? :/
I started another new character and gathered as much SP as I could before this again but even with Armor upgrades I only last 2 secs in Militia Heavy, I do last 5 secs with Standard Heavy armor(not Militia, lowest level is all I can wear) and armor boosting modules but that's not long enough to kill most people with my weak weaponry.
Ugh..big waste of time..that dev that came up with this system needs to be fired. -.-" |

Welcome to DUST.
I recommend staying out of close combat areas until you get the ropes.
Fatties with HMGs lurk in the close combat areas because long range is their bane.

Well the longer duration boosters cost real cash, but I think they're a very solid investment. Im a big fan of the Passive Boosters. Normally you generate 24,000 SP every day passively (not your in-battle generated SP) but that boost pushes it up by 50% to 36k a day. Additionally you can win 1-day boosters from some Daily Missions, so keep an eye out for those.
I will admit that Dust has a terrible New Player Experience, and you will suffer heavily for a while before you get some key skills up. I will say though that the best advice I can give you is to join a corporation ASAP. Dust is terrible to play alone, but awesome in a group. Your lack of experience and SP will be easily offset by playing with a couple vets, and overall the game will be far more enjoyable for you.

I highly recommend taking the advice from Pokey and Breakin. Stick with it and you'll start to enjoy DUST a lot more. |

Might want to find some friends to play with on DUST; because, what you're going to experience here is going to be the roughest 8 months of gameplay you'll ever experience.
It's not newbie friendly and the odds are against you because of the vets SP difference.
Hopefully CCP Rattati brings out a better match making system soon.
I'm glad I see a new face though.
Welcome :)
Thank god for CCP Rattati!!

Soon as in it's in the works or SoonGäó as in no dev spoke of it? Also, how long has it been like this?
